The Embrace has 40 pages of  story developed by some of the best, up-and-coming talent in the Industry. The Embrace is a story about Loss, Fatherhood, and Justice as a father gets saved by the ghost of his son:No Father Should have to bury their son, but life sometimes doesn’t play out the way it should. It’s been a year since the mugging that robbed Clarence Griffin of both his dignity and his son, David. With the police closing the case, Clarence revisits the last place he was with his son with every intent on taking his own life. However, as he arrives he is stopped by the ghost of David and in the embrace of his child’s spirit, he not only receives a vision revealing the people responsible but a suit that protects him from harm and grants him abilities. Now father and son hunt down the criminals responsible for this tragedy and bring them to justice

This title promises to be THE Superhero book of 2021, and in order to ensure that, we have some of the best up-and-coming talents in the indie comic scene. Scribing the project is Michael Oden, writer of the Elysian Fields series, pencil and inking duties are being done by up and comer Dean James, coloring for the book will be handled by Paul Bilick colorist of Shinobi Sasquatch, lettering will be handled by Es Kay, and editing duties are done by Lee Byron Carver. Together we are bringing you 40 pages of story in this top-of-the-line comic that will be sure to deliver a harrowing experience to its reader, but in case that wasn't enough to sell you, we made sure to add something a bit special to the campaign!

How to Draw Comics YT artists Clayton and Korey Barton have delivered brilliant art that will serve as the cover for our Special Edition of the book. This edition of the book will use a 105lb text card stock cover, with not only the story but an art gallery, and even the script of the book!

When I initially was pitching this book, I really wanted it to feel like James O'Barr's The Crow in almost every regard. In other words, I was initially looking at doing this book ENTIRELY in black and white. However, the moment some colors got brought into The Embrace's design, I knew that we had to do the color. That being said, Dean still thought that having this Black and White edition of the book would be an awesome thing to reward our backers, and I agreed. This brings us to The Embrace: Spectral Edition. The Embrace: Spectral Edition will feature all the things included with the Special Edition, except that the story will be entirely in Black and White. However, if you notice, this tier is not listed on the campaign perks, and this is intentional. You can ONLY get The Spectral Edition via the purchase of our featured Signed One of Everything Tier! We had some really great submissions for The Embrace fanart contest and trust me, it was REALLY tough getting these down.
