CUPSOGUE PICTURES and EAGLE HOUSE PICTURES present to you THE EXTRACTION.

THE EXTRACTION is a short film that follows Brody and his team of mercenaries as they attempt to extract Dr Artemis Trejo, the leader of a guerrilla faction.  They successfully capture their target, but their plan for extraction hits a major obstacle when they are pinned down in a room by a sniper.

This tense, action-packed drama is the first in a trilogy of short films entitled WAR STORIES looking at the dark side of war and civil unrest, and it boasts an excellent array of talented British Actors (Tony Fordham as BRODY; Tony Cook as RYAN; Stevie Raine as TOPHER; Marcus Ako as WALTON).

The WAR STORIES trilogy is sixth film project that CUPSOGUE PICTURES and EAGLE HOUSE PICTURES have worked on together (WELCOME TO PURGATORY (2011 - Feature); SUPERMAN: REQUIEM (2011 - Feature); FRACTURE (2011 - Short Film); YOGURT (2010 - Short Film); ARI (2010 - Short Film)), but the first one to be pitched on IndieGoGo.  

We are currently in the pre-production phase of THE EXTRACTION.  A 10-day shoot is pencilled in for May 2011.  Our editors will be working during the shoot to reduce post-production time.  This will allow us to qualify for such prestigious Short Film Festivals as BAFTA (UK), London Film Festival (UK), Hollywood Shorts (USA), amongst many.

But to get there, we need your help...

What We Need & What You Get

We have so far been able to negotiate various deals with hire companies, location venues, crew members etc, and have gotten extremely good deals for the project.  

What remains is to raise a grand total of $12,800 by April 29th 2011.  We need your help to reach our target on time, and ask that you donate a minimum of $10 to our pitch on IndieGoGo, and that you ask your friends and family to also donate a minimum of $10 each, towards getting THE EXTRACTION made.  We will also do our best to source alternative funding for the project on the occasion that we do not reach our target here, as we are hell-bent on getting this project off the ground.   

The funds raised here will be used to hire camera, sound and lighting equipment for the 10-day shoot, as well as pay for the use of locations.  We will also need to pay for catering and travel expenses for the cast and crew to keep them going throughout the shoot.  Then there is the hire of the prop guns, costumes, and at the end of the production, the creation and distribution of DVDs to festivals and investors.  We have been incredibly fortunate to have gotten some amazing deals to bring us to this budget.

In addition to the mentioned perks, between now and the target date, we will add more incentives to inspire you to continue donating.  We will also keep you up to date with our progress on a week-by-week basis.  

If, with your help, we are able to exceed our target, we will dedicate the remainder to various areas of the production that will enhance the film, and for more perks for your kindness and generosity.
