The Future Is Voting Tour featuring Jim James
We all know what’s at stake on Election Day. All 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats are up for grabs. And the last two special elections came down to fewer than 2,000 votes -- about the number of students who can pack a large auditorium on campus.
So, Jim James and all the other performers will travel the country, donating 100% of their time and art to the cause of turning out voters. None of the artists participating on this tour are being paid.
- Jim will appear at all six shows; other performers will join for select dates
- Candidates of all political affiliations will be invited to participate in Q&A sessions
- Funds will directly cover the costs of bringing these events to college campuses at no cost to the students or schools
And you can help make it all happen by making a contribution. Moving the artists and staff to six college markets and campuses all over the United States is not easy... and it will be expensive, even if no one gets paid. And none of the schools will be charged anything. So, please pitch in what you can.
Any funds raised that exceed the tour expenses will be donated 100% to HeadCount to help them continue to support local and campus organizations doing important get-out-the-vote work. We realize that you are being asked to contribute to multiple campaigns and causes in election years. We feel strongly that this is a unique opportunity to come together as a national community and motivate younger voters to get out and make their opinions count!
