The Story

For over four years, we have been a DIY band in every way. We have done our own touring, booking, financing, publicity, and up until now, our own recording. This time around, we are going to be working with reputable names in the music industry to help make our next release the biggest one to date.

On our last record, Familiar Fevers, we did all of the recording ourselves and sent the post-production to Mike Watts for mixing and mastering. After working with him briefly, we developed a creative bond, and now we are fortunate enough to be able to work with him as the producer of this next effort. Mike Watts is an incredible talent who has worked with some of our musical heroes—The Dear Hunter, As Tall As Lions, The Chariot, Tides of Man, and many others. We can’t possibly tell you how excited we are for him to put his signature on our new music.

We will also be working with a publicist to ensure that these new songs get as much attention as possible. Our goal has always been to take this band as far as it can go, and we are more committed than ever.

The Project

We are launching this IndieGoGo campaign to help secure the funds we need for our upcoming EP. We feel that our new songs are our strongest yet, and we want to give them the best release we can.

Our new EP will be free for everyone, whether you donate or not. We feel that releasing music for free is the best way to have people hear it. So, we’re hoping to reach our financial goals through crowdfunding. Of course, we want to make funding a free release worth your while, so we’ve come up with some pretty killer rewards for any budget.

In addition to the rewards, we want to thank you by making the most out of our time in the studio. While we are calling this project an EP, we will attempt to record enough material for a full length release. If we meet any stretch goals (see “The Budget” below), we will make this project even bigger.

The Budget

$6000 will cover studio time, mixing, and mastering. We are saving up for additional expenses (publicity, music videos, and merch), but we are asking for help with the heart of our project.

Our studio schedule:

Days 1-2: Drums

Day 3: Bass and Ukulele

Day 4: Guitar and Synth

Days 5-6: Horns and Strings

Days 7-9: Vocals

Days 10-11: Mixing

Day 12: Mastering

We are confident that we can record the EP we want to release in this timeframe, but we will do even more if we exceed our goal.  

Stretch Goals

$7000 – 1 extra song added to the EP.

$7500 – 2 extra songs added to the EP.

$8000 – We will press physical copies of the release to be given to every backer at the $10 level or above.

$9000 – We will print exclusive, limited run t-shirts for our backers, given to everyone at the $20 level or above.

$12000 – For doubling our budget, you have given us the opportunity to turn our EP into a full length album!
