Meet Oliver, a 3 year old Husky cross who loves to hike, run, and play with his best friends Nibbles. Oliver was adopted in February from the P.A.W.H.S. in Deerlodge, MT to a loving family in Missoula. Shortly after being adopted, Oliver started to shows signs of infection in his right eye, and a month ago, began having seizures so bad, his family couldn’t stop them without medication. After having an MRI in Pullman, WA at the Veterinary Teaching School, Oliver was found to have a mass growing on his brain. Because of the nature of the mass, it is undetermined if this is a cancerous tumor, a stroke, or even a parasitic infection.
The Veterinary Teaching School of Pullman, WA has been a tremendous help in helping Oliver get better. The Study will cover the cost of another MRI, the actual biopsy, and week stay at the hospital, but unfortunately, all other cost will not be paid for. This means that if anything goes wrong with the biopsy, such as infection, or pneumonia, the family will have to pay out of pocket. This also doesn’t cover the cost of travel or lodging necessary for the family. This is why we created The Oliver Fund.
The Oliver Fund was created to help Oliver and his family to be able to have the biopsy performed that could save his life. The family is selling numerous items to raise money, such as truffles (or Oli Dots), christmas cards, and art. All proceeds of these sales will go fully to the fund. Thank you for your interest and generosity.
Sincerely,
Oliver, Nibbles, Amy Doty, and Aaron Wilson
