Who Are We?
We are moms; moms in film. We work in the industry and we have families. Two things that can sometimes be hard to manage. We want to support other moms in film by making a movie about moms, for everyone, created by women. And we want to employ as many women as possible on this film.

The Story
Jia escapes a shady job at a massage parlor, pursued on foot. She narrowly avoids capture by hiding under the suburban house of Amy, mother of eight month old Desmond. With no place else to go, Jia stays under Amy’s house for days , hearing all that goes on above, drawn into Amy’s struggle with depression. Hearing the baby’s cries and laughter, Jia is moved to tears, clearly carrying around pain of her own. Finally, Amy hits a low point and Jia bravely ventures into the house, risking everything to help her. Now it’s Amy’s turn to peek into Jia’s world, as she learns the Asian immigrant suffered from her own depression after the loss of her own baby. Wanting to start over in the United States, Jia fell victim to a human trafficking scheme. Jia has now escaped her captors, but not her past. Connected through their pain and shared experiences, an unlikely friendship is born- both mothers supporting each other as they reach out to heal.
