This is Tinkerbots

Tinkerbots is a toy building set with easy-to-add robotics that make it possible for children and adults to create an endless number of toy robots simply by snapping together Tinkerbots’ patented Powerbrain, kinetic modules and passive pieces, and even bricks of other building sets. No wiring or programming required.

Tinkerbots is the perfect hands-on introduction to the world of robotics. While experiencing hours of fun, children won’t even notice that they are actually learning something extremely valuable and getting a solid foundation in technology. Tinkerbots is not only for children; it’s for the entire family. It’s a toy that fascinates kids and parents alike, engaging them in play together, and in sharing a learning experience. And with its Arduino-compatible microcontroller, Tinkerbots is also the perfect tool for schools and all the makers out there.

The Tinkerbots robot building kits are already available. So place your order and get your building kit within a couple of days!

The Tinkerbots Wheeler Set for beginners = $169

The Tinkerbots Advanced Builder Set is the ideal toy for DIY fans = $249

The Tinkerbots Sensoric Mega Set, the ultimate robotic toy for kids & adults = $469

Here is how it works

The red cube is the Powerbrain. It provides the energy and contains an Arduino-compatible microcontroller.

The Powerbrain

It comes alongside a range of other different kinetic modules like the twister, the pivot, the motor-module and the grabber. Plus there’s a whole bunch of small, passive building blocks you can use to add more detail to your robots, and you can even use bricks of other building sets like LEGO® to add more detail if you want. What’s more, you can enhance your Tinkerbots models with sensors that measure distance or detect light. All of Tinkerbots pieces can be connected easily without the need for wiring or programming. It’s truly simple and easy to use. Even a six year old can use Tinkerbots to build any robot he or she can imagine.

Controlling your robots

…is as easy as it is to build them. The integrated record-and-play mode lets you teach your robot what to do and to bring it to life. Just take the robot in your hands, press record, move it in the way you want it to move, and when you hit the play button, your robot will repeat exactly what you just taught it. You can also use the Tinkerbots app on your tablet or smartphone as a remote control. Each Set comes with the Tinkerbots App for Android or iOS.

Record & Play

App control

For more advanced robots, there are other available parts such as an infrared distance sensor allowing them to interact with their environment. Tinkerbots' use of the Arduino-compatible microcontroller platform enables older enthusiasts to dabble in programming (“C”) for their Tinkerbots creations.

What is included?

Production and shipping

All parts from the Tinkerbots building kits were developed by us and produced by partner companies. 29 providers and production specialists even come from the same region in Germany. Sourcing regional products and production is very important for us - Being close to our providers allows us to be sure of their speciality and professionalism and pick the best for our Tinkerbots kits. We also assemble our kits completely by hand in Bernau, close to Berlin with our great team.

Another great thing about Tinkerbots is that you don't have to wait weeks or months to get your product. The sets are ready and waiting for you. After your order it only takes a 3 - 5 working days untill the building kit arrives at your home.

What is coming next?

We’re still as fascinated with Tinkerbots as we were on day one. This is why we constantly keep developing our building sets. The modular platform allows us to come up with new modules which will always be compatible with the existing pieces.

In the future there will also be expansion sets available. This means that you can upgrade your robots with other modules and bricks.

Share your ideas and dreams with us and, who knows, maybe it could be your idea we implement next...

So funktioniert's

Was kommt als nächstes?
