Here at Spores Productions, we are committed to creating narrative driven content, for fans, by fans. Starting in 2020 during the Covid pandemic, a group of us got together to shoot our The Last of Us cosplays at an abandoned location in the English countryside. We made a short film on the fly, and started to realise that with a bit of extra writing, a bit of planning and a few more The Last of Us fans, we could maybe do something bigger. This led to us writing, filming and editing our film, shot over 7 weekends in a 5 month period, working with over 20 cast members, 11 locations & 13 translators to cater for subtitles in various languages on the final product.

In 2022, we released our homage to The Last of Us, All We Lost, onto Youtube, and held a charity Premiere in London, of which we sold out attendance in under 24 hours. We went on to make two more original shorts based on Interview With The Vampire and Detroit: Become Human, as well as filming the teaser for our Uncharted campaign!

Following on from The Last of Us, it only made sense for us to explore another favourite franchise of ours, Uncharted.

For the last 10 years, Uncharted has been a household name. Nathan Drake, the primary protagonist from the series, is described as a "professional treasure hunter" with a lightning quick wit and a tendency to find his way out of any tricky situation by the skin of his teeth. 

There has always been one part of Drake's adventures that has not quite sat right with his sunny disposition, and that's the death count he's responsible for over 4 globe-trotting adventures. The things that Nate has been through would take an incredible toll on anyone, yet he always seems to be able to shrug it off and move on to the next lost city. Following the release of Nate's last outing, Neil Druckmann, Co-President of Naughty Dog, said "This is our version of Uncharted - for us, there's no more story left". But for us, that small niggling thought still remains.  What would happen to Nathan Drake if he lost that positive outlook? If he experienced something that took away his humour? What would be left, and what would that Nate look like? 

This is where we want to explore the world of Uncharted further, and this is where our project begins. While there will be aspects of the classic Uncharted adventure, shot at various incredible locations throughout the United Kingdom, our film looks deeper into the character of Nathan Drake, his relationships and what he could become if the most important thing in the world is taken from him...

All filming will take place in the UK, as our story is primarily based here in the British wilderness. 

We're looking to begin filming late 2023, and our goal is to release somewhere in late 2024!

We are a small, independent production company, with our only source of income through our Patreon page. In order to take on a project of this size, we require outside funding.

Without funding, we already have our main cast and some of the crew. Between us, we are a versatile bunch of cosplayers, writers, photographers and videographers whose skill sets cross into various disciplines.

What we don't have is the budget for shooting at the locations we've picked out, for the travel and accommodation and for additional required equipment, props, extras and sustenance.   

This is where you come in! 

We are a non-profit outfit and we will personally make no money from this campaign; all proceeds will go directly into filming and fulfilling your rewards. 

£2,500: We will explore the fundamental aspects of our story, leaning more heavily into the character development and relationships between our ragtag band of treasure hunters and the challenges they face.

£5,000: This will enable us to expand our production further, including a wider range of both locations and extras, and a slightly deeper dive into our narrative. 

£10,000: At this level, we would be able to create the full scope of our story with the only limitation being the scope of our action sequences and complex visual effects. We will be able to tell our story as we have written it!

£20,000+: If we hit this milestone, we will be able to bring you an Uncharted story that will only be limited by the imaginations of our creative team... we will be able to bring you an authentic Uncharted story that would do the creators proud!
