The USA Grand Tour will be a race like the Tour De France, The Giro D'Italia and the Vuelta Espagna. Each of these 21 day stage races, or Grand Tours, is designed to showcase the country in which they are held, the products which sponsor the race, and to push the 198 or so riders to their very limits. The enormity of the race logistics and the secondary nature of bicycle racing here in America has made such an undertaking unthinkable. ..until now.

We've entered a new era where the growth of cycling participation and spectating in America is exploding! As a result of that growth it's time America stands up on the world stage and demonstrates how WE do a Grand Tour!

By contributing to the USA Grand Tour you will help fund the core team as they work with tour cities and local governments, international cycling organizations, race teams and the media to craft a new history in cycling, one which is sustainable and can be enjoyed year after year.

We are currently a team of volunteers working long hours outside of our regular jobs in order to bring this about. The initial funding we seek will allow us to bring on full time folks and take the team through route planning, licensing and permits, contractor, vendor, and team alignment, merchandise designs,  and preliminary marketing activities. It will build the foundation.

Regardless of the outcome of the funding campaign our team is dedicated to pursuing this and will continue on a part-time basis. In the event of an insurmountable obstacle where we are unable to move forward we will donate any pledged funds to the life-changing bicycle related charity Qhubeka at http://qhubeka.org.
