Why we need your help!
We need your help to grant us the room to achieve our creative ambitions with a location that has a character of its own, and a talented crew and cast of actors that can share their own understanding, experiences and beliefs to bring this story to life!
To make this film the best it can be we need your help, as we are not able to fulfil the budget on our own. By supporting our project, you will be contributing to the successful completion of a strong project that has been years in the works.
Meet the Team!
The Director
![]()
Raised as a devout Jehovah's Witness, our director has a great interest in theology and has often asked why people turn to religion and how. Jordan previously completed an HND in Television Production at City of Glasgow College and is now in his final year of his BA(Hons) in Film & TV at Edinburgh College of Art. Jordan hopes to create short form work that allows audiences into the minds of the congregation and, through the use of visual storytelling, express the weight and pressure of awaiting salvation in a world that seems to be sliding out of control.
The Cinematographer
![]()
Jamie Wellington is a camera operator and cinematographer with previous experience working on documentary and drama shoots. With this film Jamie is looking to utilise a naturalistic approach using hand-held camerawork and shallow focus. Experienced with DIY solutions he is excited to rise to the technical challenges of the film such as using candlelight or recreating its effects. The film will be shot on RED with ARRI Ultra Prime lenses.
The Producer
![]()
Clara Mumford-Turner is in her final year studying film at the University of Edinburgh. With future ambitions to work in TV Drama, Clara specialises in producing short films. Last year she produced the short ‘Salt & Sauce’ which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival 2017. With Wait she is excited to bring such an absorbing project to life with a fantastically talented cast & crew, and has high ambitions for it to go far.
Risks & Challenges
We are working as hard as possible in pre-production to prepare for any risks and challenges we could face on the shoot. This includes ensuring the health and safety of our crew, which we will put great focus on.
We have our kit, a fantastic team and we can’t wait to bring ‘Wait’ to your screens!
What We Need:
With the money raised, we aim to distribute the money particularly on finding the perfect location for our congregation, as well as for transport and feeding our lovely crew and cast, and towards production design, costume and lighting hire!
