"If you don't know, now you know..."

We're two guys with a passion for bringing people together and giving back to our community. The idea for We B-E-E Spelling started like so many great ideas do: over a few drinks at a party. "How do you do something meaningful outside of your day job? Why is giving back so damn inconvenient? And do fundraisers always have to be such a bore?" We reached two (obvious) conclusions: 1.) doing good shouldn't be a hassle and 2.) it shouldn't be a drag, either.

We B-E-E Spelling is an intoxicating spelling bee and fundraising event. We take the nostalgia of a spelling bee, add the excitement of a live show, make it financially accessible and give the proceeds to an organization creating positive change. Brave contestants take turns attempting to spell words on stage, earning a free drink for each successful attempt. Audience members are active participants in the contest; attendees can donate to receive “skip a word” and “sabotage” cards to help or challenge the participants. The spelling bee champ walks away with awesome prizes and everyone involved enjoys the benefits of donating their money (and egos) to a great cause.

IT WORKED. In just over a year, we showed that doing good can be fun and easy (spelling 'onomatopoeia' ... not so much). We have raised OVER $25,000  to date and given every penny of the funds raised to amazing nonprofit organizations.

We are ready to scale our model, but we need your support. We have put our hearts, souls, and dollars into making We B-E-E Spelling a success. We're proud to tell you that every cent of your support thus far has gone directly to benefiting the great causes of our nonprofit partners. We want to keep it that way, but business cliches and growing expenses tell us that's a challenging undertaking. We have big, exciting opportunities on the horizon and we're asking for your investment in us to support our fundraising efforts moving forward. 

The proceeds of this "We B-E-E Spelling: For We B-E-E Spelling" event will go toward:

• Future event production and management expenses such venue rental fees, food & bev., promotion, and guest entertainers, to name a few.
  
• Day-to-day operating costs: meetings and marketing and websites, oh my!
  
• Eliminating any and all costs to our nonprofit beneficiaries when partnering for an event. We get them involved to make money, not spend it.
• Developing business partnerships and new revenue streams that promote growth and maximize our impact.
  
• We're going to send 30% all funds raised to our friends at Blue Engine, a certified education 501(c)3.
