Our Story
My name is Will Dalton and I am a professional actor/model/comedian from North Carolina. I have been summoned by producers, directors and agents to come to Hollywood for the 2012 Pilot Season starting in January of 2012. As you know, the economy is not great and relocating 3000 miles away for three months is sure to be expensive. I have been contemplating on how I would be able to make the leap to take my career to the next level. That's why I came up with this campaign. I am seeking sponsors to help fund my journey through pilot season and help me become Hollywood's Next Leading Man!!!!
The Impact
The impact of this campaign is enormous. It would change my life forever as well as my family's lives. This campaign would help put me face to face with an opportunity to fully achieve my dreams. My community would be affected because any success I have, they have. I would be able to shine some light onto them as well. The other artists from my home town would be inspired to pursue their dreams with more vigor. They would have a template to look at when trying to achieve their goals and dreams. It would be more realistic to them to achieve something if they see one of their own make it. It would impact me because it would give me a chance to make a good living doing what I am passionate about. Too often in life people get stuck doing something they hate doing to please people they shouldn't be trying to please. It would also impact the black community to see a fresh faced new black talent doing well in Hollywood.
What We Need & What You Get
For the three months I will be in Hollywood, I have estimated the cost to be roughly $15,000 (roughly $5,000 per month). The money would go to my airfare to and from LA, room and board (apartment), ground transportation (rental car and gas), food and groceries, marketing materials and workshops, acting classes and miscellaneous items. The breakdown of expenses goes as follows.
ROOM AND BOARD
$1700 – 3000 a month.
Locations near casting offices and audition sites.
$500 for groceries and eating per month.
$500 a month for utilities.
TRANSPORTATION
Enterprise Rent-A-Car $597 monthly rentals. Plus security deposit.
Gas: Avg. Gas price
is $3.97 in . $400 a month for gas.
This will be the money used to get back and forth from
auditions and jobs.
ACTING CLASSES AND MATERIALS
and Repertory $195 per month (3
months). 2 Classes per week.
New Headshots with LA photographer estimated at $300 for
shoot. $250 for prints.
MISCELLANEOUS
$500 per month for miscellaneous expenses (Industry Events,
Workshops, Wardrobe for auditions, cell phone bill, doctors visits, etc.)
