Hi, my names Rueben Martell and for the last 11 years I have been working on getting my film finished and out there. I've worked on film and TV to the point where I had wanted to be a creative head and not a person going thru the motions of getting another person's vision done. That's where "A life less empty" was born.
The story is of a lonely guy named Simon who has lived on the reserve all his life and has no intention of leaving. He meets Karen, a woman who has him reevaluating his life and what he needs to do for himself to make his life less empty.

We have come to the end of shooting and working towards editing and the musical score. We are raising the funds to pay the talented Laura Artus to add a musical score to the film.
What did I tell you? Who would not want that talent on their film!! I feel lucky!!

What We Need & What You Get
Specifically we need 2,000 for the musical score, 1,500 for editing and 1,500 for materials and submission fee's to film festivals. all equaling 5,000.

I wouldn't be surprised that the perks would come with a postcard from the cast and crew.

The Impact
The help that you give towards this film is undeniably important to getting the film finished. A native love story without the boundaries of stereotype has been the dream for me and the cast and crew. The belief in the script and the diligence of everyone involved has gotten us to this point.
Please help us get this finished and ready for next year. I want the opportunity to meet anyone with questions about the film after seeing it.
The thing that drives me is the story and how to better serve the beast that drives me to make films pushing for us to be seen as human and not card board cut outs of what people believe natives to be. But also to make a universal film with themes that are of the human experience.
