Blackberry Market is...
a fast-casual cafe coming to downtown North Little Rock, AR offering fresh handmade daily meals, grab-and-go market items, a scrumptious bakery, premium coffee, and a superb catering menu and staff.
Who is behind it?
Blackberry Market will be owned and run by Peter & Whitney Loibner, but it is a concept that was developed 10 years ago in the Chicago suburbs by Peter’s sister and her husband, Anna and Bob Davidson. (They also grew up in Arkansas!) The first Blackberry Market is in their now hometown of Glen Ellyn, IL and they have since opened a second location in La Grange, IL.
We are thrilled to be bringing the Blackberry Market concept to a town we have lived in and loved for most of our lives. Every time we have visited Blackberry Market in Chicago over the last decade, we have dreamed about having one here in our community. We think it will be a great fit as one of only a few locally owned fast casual dining options and as a way to expand on the already growing fun vibe in Argenta.

Here's What We Still Need
As with any startup business, there are significant costs to getting the doors open. We have currently raised about 85% of the money needed for equipment, build out, and inventory; however, we are still about $30,000 - $50,000 short of our goal.
We are looking to friends and the local community to help raise the remaining amount. We are hoping to minimally raise $20K via this campaign to help close the gap.
Our Ask
It is our hope that you will join with us in this community funding venture by investing via one of the options presented to the right. There are numerous opportunities to contribute and help depending on your interest level.
And, obviously, we want to give a little back in return for your support and help...
Here's What You Get
Most "perks" listed in the right-side bar are self explanatory, but if you have any questions regarding, feel free to email us at whitney [at] blackberry.cafe.
The timing for delivery will be based on our opening date. We hope to have T-shirts in time for Christmas, Blackberry Coffee Camp Cups in February, and the rest available when Blackberry Market opens in the Spring 2022.
The Impact
We feel strongly about this entire project being "for the community" yet "by the community." We welcome your participation and involvement and look forward to getting the doors open to share food, ideas, and stories.
Other Ways You Can Help
Whether you can contribute or not, we would love everyone's help in getting the word out. Here's a couple of easy ways to do that:
- Send out a personal email to your friends that you know will be interested with a link to this campaign.
- Post a link via your own social network (Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter) and help get the word out!
- If you or someone you know is interested in investing a larger amount as opposed to a friendly donation, please contact us at whitney [at] blackberry.cafe
Opening Date
We are hesitant to suggest a date with so many unknown variables with permits, construction, and approvals; however, please know that we are aggressively shooting for April 2022. Updates will be provided here and on our Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter.
What are Your Hours?
We plan on being open 7 days a week from 7am until at least 6pm so you can get your morning coffee, meet a friend for lunch and even grab dinner on the way home from your day. We also plan to be open for dinner during events whenever anything is happening in our Argenta community.
Where?
315A Main Street, North Little Rock. Thomason Furniture is what was in this space before. If you are driving down the street and see the construction, we are the space on the left adjacent to the Joint.
Updates
We will be posting regular updates via Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter, so be sure and follow us there. We will also be updating this campaign with info and pictures as we progress. Stay tuned and check back regularly.
Thank You!
We appreciate you giving the time and attention you already have to read about this project. Every little bit helps. Thanks!
