GOAL: Photographer Johany Jutras is going to embark on a roadtrip
across the beautiful Canadian countryside,
completing the first ever documented CFL roadtrip. Along that amazing journey,
she will capture - through her lens - each CFL city's unique culture and
history, finally telling you the story of our Canadian Football passion,
with the end result being a premium 112-page long photobook.
ABOUT THE ROADTRIP: The
roadtrip is going to be a 70-75 day long journey travelling through Canada.
Photographer Johany Jutras will hit the road alone on July 20th, and she will
make a stop at each of the 9 CFL cities: Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton,
Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. During this journey she will
spend about 6-8 days in each city, and immerse herself with the fans of the
local CFL team, letting her capture the essence of the culture and the love of
the fans for their team. A social media campaign is going to be conducted along
the journey. Fans and supporters will be able to follow her through her many
social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat) as well as on an
online blog that she will update every 3-4 days with stories, photos and
videos.

ABOUT THE BOOK: The
book is originally designed to be a 10 x 8 landscape oriented photo book;
constructed of 112 pages of premium quality paper. It could result in being a
bigger sized book with even higher paper quality, depending on the funds that
we are able to reach before the print date.
An
original concept by photographer Johany Jutras, it will be visually assembled
by her. Enriched with the participation of professional sports writers, it
is also verified and approved by the Canadian Football league.
Your
contributions will enable the production of this book, which will result in
being the first Canadian Football photo book. Documenting - with photos and
texts - our Canadian Football league fans and their -each to be different and
unique per team, city, province- culture and history.
The book sales premiere will take place during the 2015 Grey Cup week in Winnipeg, MB. From November 23 to 29, 2015. Every contributor that has a book in their package will receive it during these dates, too.
After that, the book will be available for purchase online. Stay tuned for more details.
The budget of this roadtrip is over $20k.
That
includes minimal transportation, meals, lodging and insurances fees only.
