The 2015 Deutschtown Music Festival
Saturday July 11, 2015
Get ready for another exciting year,
our third, with over 100 musical acts of varying styles; playing on multiple
outdoor stages and indoor venues during the day then spilling out across 15
music venues throughout the night - all within walking distance. ALL FOR FREE!

All contributions from this campaign will go directly to the performers.
The Deutschtown Music Festival is
unique in that it is a free, non-profit event run by volunteers with the goal
of promoting the Northside as well as local musicians and artists.
Months of planning go into this event to provide a full day of music and art,
for free, all within the confines of the East Ohio Street business
district.
But now is the time to give back to
those that make this happen – the musicians.
We need your support to pay back all
of the great musicians and bands that make this happen. We need to hit our
$10,000 goal – not only because it provides some monetary value back to the
performers but also because it sends the message that we value the time and
effort of each and every performer that will grace a stage during this year’s
festival.
How will our funding be distributed?
Evenly. We are going to attempt to pay each band or performer on a per capita
basis, meaning that each and every person will get the same amount. This
festival was borne out of the idea of community and the greater good and we
hope to spread compensation around fairly.
What can you expect this summer?
Family-friendly daytime activities
include live music on three outdoor stages, three indoor venues, multiple food
vendors stationed around the festival, artist exhibitions, mobile art carts, a
pop-up pinball arcade at Artists Image Resource and other activities.
Nighttime activities include music
and events spread throughout the neighborhood with over 80 different local acts
performing in 9 unique venues, all within walking distance.
The Deutschtown Music Festival has,
in only two years, gained a reputation as one of the premiere summer music
festivals in Pittsburgh.
