Founded in 2018, Misty Mountain Gaming is a veteran-owned and operated dice company offering the best quality dice and the greatest customer service in the industry.  We offer the widest selection of metal and gemstone dice, as well as a wide range of leather dice bags made and manufactured exclusively by veterans.  Sustainability is paramount to us, and all materials are sourced using only farm-raised, cruelty-free materials.

We are now introducing the first handmade, solid-layered bone dice available on the market!

After years of development and refinement, we cracked the code on a proprietary process to produce solid-layered bone dice!  Other bone dice on the market typically use chunks of bone poured into a cold cast resin instead of machined or faceted by hand.  This end product more closely resembles a typical plastic dice. 

The natural tissue component of our solid-layered bone dice means that your set is guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind!  The oils on your hands will organically absorb into the dice over time, gathering more luster and warmth as they age, even becoming a part of you!

These are perfect for any RPG such as Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, Savage World, Math Games or anything else you can think of.  All numbers are engraved and numbers are large for easy reading, with 6's and 9's clearly marked.  Every die is quality-inspected by hand before being packaged, meaning you only get the best!

All Misty Mountain Gaming bone dice sets are unique, handcrafted items, and you should expect minor variations in color, size, shape and numeral placement.  All products include lifetime warranties.

BONE DICE SET OPTIONS

Ragnar's Bone Dice sets have a few different options for finishes and pip styling.  Natural Finish is the organic material devoid of any staining or other alteration process, while Stained Finish utilizes a specific staining process to give the dice a more worn and aged look.  Natural Finish dice sets additionally have three styling options for the pips: white, black, and metal.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS

We are happy to have partnered with two charitable organizations we strongly support and believe in. 

The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) is a United Stated Department of Defense effort to promote the well-being of National Guard and Reserve members, their families and communities, by connecting them with resources throughout the deployment cycle.  Since 2008, YRRP has served more than 1.4 million Service members and their families.  A portion of all proceeds from the campaign will be donated to the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP).

Heifer International's "Give the Gift of Water Buffalo" program recognizes the importance of these animals to rural communities throughout Southeast Asia.  Water Buffaloes make farming easier by tilling fields, providing fertilizer, and increasing crop yield which leads to a steady, dependable income.  They also provide families with rich milk that is high in protein and nutrients, and are often treated as important members of the family.  For every $25K raised, we will "Give the Gift of Water Buffalo" to a Southeast Asian family in need.

WHY CROWDFUND?

Over the last two years, we have traveled to over 100 fan conventions across North America and even as far as the Middle East.  Fan conventions have been an incredibly important platform to not only sell our products, but also gather feedback so we can improve our existing items and launch new ones.

Solid-layer bone dice is a concept we have worked on for a number of years and were not going to roll out until we perfected the proprietary process.  Since all our products are 100% handmade, the research and development for each iteration has been a time consuming process.

Before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and after many months of research and development, we perfected the proprietary manufacturing process for these solid-layered bone dice.  The pandemic has meant the cancellation of all fandom conventions, so we are looking for your support to bring these to life!

In this campaign, our selected partners will be supplying the sustainably sourced materials and manufacturing all products.  We expect all items to ship in July if 2020 and are confident in our ability to meet these shipping estimates set out in our reward tiers.

We have been working with all of our manufacturing partners in this campaign for some time, and have complete confidence in their ability to meet our deadlines.  There is some uncertainty in the world of manufacturing and shipping right now, so we’ve been extra-conservative in our estimates for the timeline.
