Our Story

Gem of Champions "GOC"  Black Diamond is a Senior Small Level 5 All-Star Cheer Team from Daphne, Alabama. These girls practice 2-3 days per week in addition to tumbling, stretch and stunt classes. They are very athletic and can do things most athletes can not do. They are very dedicated and work very hard at their sport.

This team is in its first year together. Most of the teams they will compete against have been together for several years. Most of the team is under the age of 16 and they will be and have been competeing against teams made up of majority 17-18 year olds.

This past weekend in Atlanta for CheerSport Nationals was a dream come true for this very talented cheer team Black Diamonds.  They received a bid to Cheerleading Worlds (equivalent to the Olympics for cheer) to compete in Orlando in April against "the Best of the Best".  The FINALS are televised on ESPN . We could not be more proud of our team. They have worked extremely hard to prove themselves. We are a new gym (1st year) and it is unheard of a 1st year team receiving a bid. They are one of two teams from the state of Alabama to qualify for this competition

Which makes this bid very special. As a proud parents we are asking for your help with helping them raise the money needed to go and compete.

The Impact

This is a once in a lifetime chance for most of this team. This is a big chance for them to be noticed at an early age by college recruiters. Most college cheer coaches will be in attendance.

What We Need & What You Get

Your donation will go directly into the account for these young ladies to fund travel, housing, entertainment and food for the 15 athletes, chaperones and coaches. Anything left over will go to help the athletes family get to the competition.
