Hello! 안녕하세요!
Hi! I'm Ann, a twenty-three year old mom with three main passions: crafts, my daughter, and kpop. I've been an avid kpop fan since 2009, and it's a joy to see my four year old daughter loving some kpop songs as well. Because of her, I was able to fuse my two passions together: crafting and kpop. In January of 2011, I opened Handmade Kpop Goods, where I make polymer clay charms for kpop fans around the world. The charms are turned into either jewelry or accessories, and they even have to be kpop! I've also created charms where it's just a normal, every-day person and just about anything they request! Thanks to my supporters (aka Charmannders), I was able to keep HKG running by spreading the word of my shop, buying my charms, and even some giving to kpop idols themselves!
So get to the point... What's in it for you, and for me?
USPS have announced they will be raising the postage costs starting this year in January. On top of that, many Charmannders have been asking for old products to put back on sale, such as customized glasses, kpop name tag stickers, etc. And I also have many ideas that is forming in my head I would love to put out... but I do not have the funds to do so.
With the raise of postage, I'm looking at raising my shipping prices from the usual $4 for domestic to $5, and $5 for international to $11. That's a lot for one little charm, don't you think? But most may know what else I put into the package than just a charm: kpop memo sheets, pretty organza bags, bubble wrap to proect the charms, and just other goodies. All are high quality, and I do not skimp out! With this fundraiser, I'm hoping to lower the costs of shipping back down with different shipping options in terms of packaging as well as getting a scale for accurate weight and postage costs!
When HKG opened, the charms costed $10. With the holiday rush, I raised the prices to $11, and kept it that way. While the main goal is $1000 to lower the costs of postage and bringing in old and new products, if we miraculously reach $2000, lowering the charm cost back to $10 would be no problem!
Old products, new products, all cost money! While I use to make profits, now I'm only breaking even. Even if I would like to push out newer products, I cannot with the lack of money. So I have a vision, I know where I would like to go, I'm just stuck at this very spot.
Enough about me, what would you, as a donator, would get in the end? Perks!
There are drawings, different packages that is filled with beauty products, HKG charms, kpop goods, and as well as Official Charmannder packages! If you look to the side, you'll see a lot of perks, so pick whatever you fancy, or whatever is in your budget! Allow 1-2 months for me to get the perks all together and have them shipped out to you! You can keep up with the progress here.
Other Ways You Can Help
So you can't contribute, and that's totally fine! If you could just spread the word about this fundraiser, that would be awesome! Tweet it, reblog it on Tumblr, share it on Facebook, anything works with a bit of promoting! All would be greatly appreciated, and it's nice to see our Charmannder family grow!
