My name is Heidi Mercer and I am running as a Democrat for City Council at Large. I am starting to grow a base of support and made it through our early primary in May.  

 Born and raised in Findlay Ohio, I am a 2001 graduate of Liberty Benton HS, a 2006 University of Findlay Alum from the social work department and completed my MSSA at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.  I have extensive work within the non profit sector in the US.  also I have completed 2 years in the AmeriCorps Program serving in non profits in Colorado, Texas, Michigan, Kansas and California. 

I have  just returned to the area from working as a Children's Services social worker in England for the past 7 years. I have worked in an expert team focusing on assessing and intervening with children and young people who display sexually harmful behavior including those that experienced sex trafficking. She is currently the Human Trafficking Survivor Supervisor at Crime Victim Services serving sex and labor trafficking survivors in 16 counties in Northwest and West Central Ohio.
