About Dagon
Dagon is a nautical-themed death metal band formed in Michigan in 2005, releasing two EPs and two full-lengths over the course of six years. Our most successful release was the 2009 full-length, Terraphobic. After releasing our final EP, Vindication in 2011, we went on indefinite hiatus in 2012.
We reformed last year and began writing material for a new full-length. We love the new songs, we're confident fans of our past work and new fans will love them too- but releasing a high-quality album isn't cheap.
Based on how much people enjoyed Terraphobic, and how much we all missed writing and playing metal, we decided it needed to be our goal to do everything that was great about Terraphobic and do it even better. We've been able to lay out the funds to get the project rolling, but need help to fill in the rest.
With your contributions, we plan to record with Terraphobic producer, Josh Schroeder (Ghost Bath, Battlecross, King 810), and collaborate once more with Terraphobic cover artist, Jan of Darkgrove Custom Graphics Studio (Tyr, Manowar, Korpiklaani). We believe that our songs and concepts and the talents of these professionals will yield the very best representation of our passion for music and the fun, unity, and great memories it creates.

To make this album happen, and to do so with excellence, we'll need to raise $5,500. In the interest of being transparent with our backers, our expenses breakdown like this:
- Recording and production: 68%
- Artwork/photography/layout design: 10.8%
- Backer reward fulfillment: 16.2%
- Indiegogo fees: 5%
