Short Summary
Thanks for looking at my campaign. I'm Andreas, I'm an RC racer and I love CAD designing things. I combined my two favourite hobby's and made the brand "Protoprint". Protoprint is a company that creates and 3D prints parts for RC cars or RC racers. We now want to grow, and we need your help for that!

How did Protoprint start?
After being an RC racer for several years now, I've always been interested in how these cars were made, what materials they used for it and so on. I wanted to be able to create these parts myself, come up with awesome ideas and get a name in the RC community.
I switched schools and learned how to 3D Design objects, that really set me off on doing something with those skills. Because now I could design objects, I only needed to find a way how to manufacture them. 3D printing was a fairly cheap method on getting my designed objects manufactured to test them. I bought myself the Velleman Vertex (K8400) and from there it all started.
People were interested in the products I made. I began with a Facebook page that took off very fast. I expanded my product range and opened a webshop.
What We Need
For now, I'm making all my parts using FDM printing technology. This is the most used 3D printing technology used by Hobbyists. This is a very good method for certain parts, but I want to take it to the next level.
SLS printing is a 3D printing method that uses a laser to make parts from Nylon powder. This method would open a whole new world for RC parts, because there is no support structure required when printing, making it pefect for gearboxes, parts with holes,...
SLS printing from Shapeways is very exspensive, and for me it's not possible paying this high prices for prototypes. There is a company called Sintratec, these guys made a Desktop SLS 3D printer, and it got fully funded on Indiegogo just a few months ago! They will begin selling them in a few months, and this printer is just what Protoprint needs!

The Impact
With this new printer, I can expand the product range of my company and reach more people. Because we can make the parts by ourself, instead of outcoursing to Shapways or other 3rd party printers, we can keep the costs very low and ship our parts very fast. We will also be possible to make products on demand, meaning that RC racers would be able to come up with ideas for their cars and let them be designed and made by us. Doesn't that sound awesome? It's a whole new dimension in the RC world!

Future Products
Offcourse all the RC racers want to know what can actually be done with this printer and what Protoprint will do with it. Some future products that are going to get produced :
- Custom car stand (custom name on it)
- Additional camber hubs for cars
- Gearboxes for several cars that change weight distribution.
- Custom name tools (ride height gauge, cambertools,...)
- (dropdowns for transmitters)
- ...
Said short, there is allot comming. Also, my mind is always open for ideas, so let me know if you would like to see something in the future. I will surely keep the backers needs in my mind!
Don't want to fund my campaign? No problem! I'm very thankfull your read till the end of this page. Sharing this campaign on social media or letting your friends know is as important as funders to me!
