Help Siebert Family survive Dieselgate debt
Have you ever heard a story and thought I am so glad this is not happening to me. Not sure I could handle so many problems at once. The Siebert Family story is like that.
They tried to negotiate in good faith with VW on the recall, due to the emissions scandal. VW told them they had to have the car in their possession until the buy back took place even as Cherie and Claus were telling VW that they were moving to Austria. That added about $2,500 to their moving costs. You would think VW would then accept the car back at their main European headquarters. No such luck. Once again the car had to be shipped - this time back to the USA. Luckily after several trys and VW losing lots of paperwork they allowed Cherie’s sister to be the representative for the buyback. Even wonder how many things could go wrong and you would keep your cool? That seemed to be the way the buyback went.
Meanwhile how do you handle living in the mountains, miles from town with only a bicycle, a scooter, a wagon and your feet to get around. The four Sieberts have been doing the best they can. The youngest, the daughter, has been having trouble with the distance and the heat. She has spina bifida and limited mobility. The scooter helps but now the long walks have gotten to her. She is staying at home while Daddy goes to work (a 5 hour trip by foot and train) and older brother and Mom do the hike to get groceries.
Can you imagine having the strength and determination to keep going as your body and soul gets tired? This is why we need to help this Family. They are trying to get out from the debts caused by the VW stall. Trying to put their lives back together so they can enjoy being together more.
You can help!! A donation, of any size, will help bring a vehicle into their lives so trips to the doctor (needed by the youngest), the grocery and to work are not a grueling experience.
Please show the Sieberts that you care. Give them a new chance. Thank you!
** So you know ~ I am a friend of Cherie's who saw a need and a possible way to help her family and her as they try and make it through this crisis. Donations will go directly to Cherie's account. Thank you, Deborah
