About Me
My name is Nicki Daniels, author of a new children’s book called Junebug: No Life Too Small. I'm a vegan mother who enjoys cooking, occupational therapy, wildlife rehabilitation, and supporting farm animal sanctuaries. For as long as I can remember, I have always cared deeply about other animals including the littlest creatures.

Meet Junebug!
My idea for Junebug came from things I used to do as a child to save bugs. If I ever saw a bug struggling in water, trapped in a small space or on its back, my instinct was to help them.
Junebug is an introduction for kids to see the smallest forms of life as tiny beings who are just trying to live their lives. If we can teach children to respect the tiniest, most vulnerable creatures, this can give them a great start in developing compassion for all living beings.
With all that's going on in the world today, we should all be aware that every bug, every tree, every plant, every animal relies on each other, and we should respect that.

About the Book
In this book, the main character June helps her friends recognize that we should not harm those who have every much of a right to be here as we do. She shows her friends that these little insects work hard to build their homes, that they can get hot and tired just like us, and they have important functions in our ecosystem. She helps teach them to appreciate how cool and beautiful these little beings are.

How You Can Help
I’m partnering with Vegan Publishers and the amazing illustrator Addy Rivera Sonda (below) to create a book that I’m very proud of, but I need your help to finalize the book. Our goal is to receive enough pre-orders and contributions so that we can cover costs related to completing, printing, and distributing the book. This project cannot be completed without your support, which will also help bring this book to many children. Books will be shipped 2-3 months after the campaign ends.
