We want to tell the Easter story in a compelling way.
Two millennia after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we often lack an emotional connection to the greatest story ever told. To the people who spent time with Jesus, these events were deeply moving. Indeed their lives were never the same again. In connecting with Mary Magdalene, we not only experience the power of this story, but we feel the love of God for us individually.
When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. - Mark 16:9
The freedom that Mary experienced after her demons were taken away was complete. She used that freedom to follow Christ closely. She was an eyewitness as Jesus taught his followers, performed miracles and spoke to thousands.
When her Savior died, the grief and fear she experienced would have been overwhelming. Everything about her life had changed when Jesus invited her to follow, and now her hope had been stolen away.
When the disciples carried his body to the tomb, she was probably the last person to leave his grave. We do know she was the first to race to the tomb to find his body gone, to hear Jesus' voice, and to ultimately recognize that her Hope was still alive.
As the director, I recognize the potential of visual storytelling with God's Word to our generation. My team comes to this project with experience in videography, film lighting, costumes, makeup, graphic design, musical scores, acting and theatre. We're ready to take an audience on a journey into a famous chapter of the Bible through the eyes of Mary Magdalene. Much of my own work has centered around shooting personal interviews, music videos, and short vignettes.

What We Have
Our studio time has been booked for January 23rd-25th and Feb. 6th-8th.
Beginning in January of 2015, we will be transforming the studio space at Classic Worldwide, Cleveland for the set of our 4 scenes.
Scene 1. The Cross (Exterior) Scene 2. Garden Tomb (Interior) Scene 3. Mary's Home (Interior) Scene 4. Garden Tomb (Exterior)
What We Need
We've already raised $1,500 towards the project, and we've received a match gift of $1,500, so we're 2/3 of the way to our budget! We just need a final $1,500 to get us across the finish line. The amount will cover our equipment rental, set construction materials, costuming, feeding the volunteer cast and crew, props and transportation.
If we raise more than $1,500: We can have higher-quality costumes and more realistic set pieces. We can help our audience be immersed in time of Christ.
