Our Story

Hello and thank you for taking a look at our campaign. My name is Joe Clemente and my partner is Linda Rossi. Together we are Nettie's Kettle Corn. We started Nettie's Kettle Corn in September of 2009, like most kettle corn companies we started out doing farmers markets, fairs and festivals. We would cook on site and attract most customers from the aroma alone. Then something started happening. Our customers were becoming fans, returning to our regular spots to buy more and more each week. We would hear things such as, "are you sure you're going be here next week?" or "This is the best kettle corn I ever had." We of course were flattered but I couldn't help to think this was just people being nice. Thankfully however it never stopped. People didn't want just kettle corn. They wanted Nettie's kettle corn. So in January of 2010 we started placing our local favorite in stores. Again very thankfully it sold, and sold and sold. In just a very short time we were in over 40 stores with request coming from other stores to carry our kettle corn. So this is why we're here. It is time for an expansion, and with any expansion comes a lot of expense. We have secured a location and the build-out is under way. We have purchased new equipment and we are looking into new packaging. Now we are turning to you, our friends, our fans and yes even people we haven't met who just may like our story.

Our New Home

We love what indiegogo.com has done for others so we decided to try it for ourselves. It is a unique way to get the financial lift all small companies could use. Our expansion includes 1,400 square feet of space which will provide us with office space, a large production area and warehouse space. This space gives us the elbow room we need to continue to grow without having to move again anytime soon. It's location is very close to highway access, making deliveries a little easier and faster, very important with the price of fuel. We look forward to our move-in day.

What We Need & What You Get

So why do we need money? Well that's a fair question. With a move like this comes large expenses. A larger space means more rent. The many fees that go along with doing anything involving goverment. Zoning certificates, health department applications, cost of materials for the build out itself. Larger equipment to be able to produce more product for the expected additional stores. The list doesn't seem to stop. The goal that we have set here is just a small percentage of the money needed. The money raised here will help offset the cost of new packaging. One quote alone is over $15,000.00. So we ask you to take a moment and check out the perks that we have put together for you.
