Series Overview
Remnant 13 is an emotional story about a group of survivors broken by life’s circumstances set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse. The series is driven by Dr. Mark Downing’s attempts to rebuild a relationship with his teenage daughter while keeping her and the other survivors alive and his search for redemption in curing the disease he unleashed on his older daughter and the world.

Campaign Summary
My name is Shawn Lindsey and I am the Producer of the upcoming series "Remnant 13". I have been in business for the past 10 years. I started my own Digital Marketing company as well as my own Non-Profit company that supports patients and families of patients with kidney disease. My stance on businesses and projects have always been the same, and that is to help individuals turn their dreams into realities.
I was an only child and was raised by just one parent, so I witnessed first hand what it was like to have to work hard for what you wanted!
I am from Bowling Green, Kentucky, which just so happens to be home of Western Kentucky University, a famous university, with a very popular film department. WKU has produced some legendary names in the film industry such as famed horror Producer/Writer/Director John Carpenter.
I wanted to create a project that gave young professionals the chance to build their resumes, build their career and increase their chance of success in the industry. I saw that, combined with my love for horror/zombies as an opportunity, thus Remnant 13 was born!
We have been able to bring on seasoned veterans of the industry to allow our young talent to learn from some of the best! We plan on making this production a top notch series, but doing that takes a hefty budget. We have been able to work out partnerships with several individuals, companies, and businesses that allow us to cut down the "required" budget quite a bit, but we still need your help!
Contributing to this campaign will help us create a stellar production as well as give many young individuals the chance to work with industry greats and the experience and resume needed to launch their careers in the right direction!
What We Need & What You Get
Normally a production of this size would cost in excess of over $150,000 in order to produce. However, as mentioned above we have been able to work with companies, individuals, and businesses that will allow us the opportunity to get this pilot shot for much less, as many of these individuals/businesses are becoming partners in the process.
In order to make this happen, we need to be able to raise a minimum of at least $50,000. The more we are able to raise the better, as anything in excess of $50,000 will allow us to start being able to pay many of the cast/crew prior to release, which would be amazing!
The required $50,000 will go toward the following:
- $25,000 = Traveling and Lodging Expenses
- $10,000 = Equipment Rental
- $3,500 = Insurance and Permits
- $5,000 = Per Diem and Catering/Food for Cast & Crew
- $6,500 = Special Effects, Makeup, Props, etc
This is just the minimum required to get the production up and going, without the above funds and budget, we can't shoot anything!
In exchange for supporting us and helping us raise the required funds for the production, we are going to be giving away some AMAZING perks as part of the crowdfunding process.
Most of the perks are going to include autographed memorabilia from the show, cast, and crew. Sure, it is cool to get some autographed pieces from the show, but we have some perks that are super cool, check them out below:

- Chance to become a featured extra in one of the scenes and maybe even your own cameo!
- Become one of our "Featured Zombie" and maybe even get killed by one of our actors!

Now, as I mentioned earlier, we have an amazing cast/crew on board with this production. In the event we don't raise the entire goal of $50,000, many of us are going to try to do everything we can to make the production happen!
Risks & Challenges
Now, just like with any project that we take on, there are always risk associated with them, we understand this and we want to be 100% upfront and honest. Below are some of the risk that are associated with this project, along with other challenges we have identified and how we plan on addressing them.
What if you don't raise the required funds to produce the pilot?
This is probably one of the biggest challenges we have at the moment. However, we have been blessed with an amazing group of cast/crew who see the vision is worth more than the money. So many of them are willing to partner with the production company to ensure we are able to bring the project to life!
