COST, COST, COST; is the reason that almost all confined dairy's don't capture harmful methane emissions. Natural gas (methane) has had to be cleaned (upgraded) since it was discovered. The same goes for biogas. Cost # 1: conventional upgrading systems high initial capital cost. Cost # 2: in order to operate properly those systems use a lot of expensive energy. Cost # 3: after overcoming those two hurdles, unless your farm is right next to a pipe line, transporting the biomethane to market is expensive. Remooable's unique system reduces all three of these costs and allows the farm and Remooable to PROFIT from biomethane, making it a sustainable clean part of our future energy structure.
Members of the Remooable Fuel team have previously installed conventional biogas cleaning technology on multiple farms. This experience and the improvement on the farm’s environmental impact resulted in all farms expressing interest in having our novel gas cleaning system implemented on their farms. This is a testament to the credibility of our capabilities and how we can optimize a farm’s sustainability via our cleaning systems.

The Problem
According to the United Nations, measured in carbon dioxide equivalent, animal agriculture generates 18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions, and 37 percent of methane emissions. Methane, a byproduct of animal waste digestion, is more than 25 times as powerful as carbon dioxide at trapping heat in our atmosphere. As these greenhouse gases accelerate, climate change scientists say they will increasingly lead to catastrophic disasters around the world.
Animal agriculture is a major source of air pollution. Decaying wastes stored in manure lagoons on-farm or shipped offsite, release hazardous gases. Such as methane and the colorless and highly toxic hydrogen sulfide. This can lead to a multitude of serious public health problems, widespread environmental degradation, and climate change. After monitoring a medium-sized farm, in Minnesota it was revealed hydrogen sulfide emissions there were high enough to cause nausea, headaches, and diminished quality of life among those living in the area. In fact, hydrogen sulfide is one of the most dangerous pollutants emitted by farms.
The amount of manure produced by animals raised for food in the U.S. is roughly 100 times the amount of sewage treated by our municipal wastewater plants. This raw manure is not processed through any sort of waste treatment facility such as with human waste. Left untreated, the outgassing biogas harms the environment while allowing a valuable potential fuel source to escape unharvested.
Dairy farms will always produce biogas in abundance. We cannot change this; but what we can change is how we deal with it.
The Solution
Our highly experienced team will harvest and clean harmful biogas and transform it into fuel that can be put directly into the gas pipeline grid. This process provides two incredible environmental benefits: the elimination of biogas, and the addition of sustainable transportation fuel.
Biomethane (CNG: compressed natural gas) offers positive emissions properties, releasing significantly less emissions compared to other fossil fuel sources, such as gasoline or diesel, which contain dangerous properties that are absent in biogas. Our new process is both easier and less expensive: our materials will be modular standardized components, which will increase installation and maintenance ease while significantly minimizing costs, and is particularly well suited for small and medium-sized farms.
Often, sustainable agricultural methods are available only to large scale farms. Yet farms on the smaller side, while receptive to sustainability, often lack access or capital to invest in such highly priced methods. Nowadays, this cycle of detrimental agriculture seems inevitable. However, by focusing on small and medium size farms, we are breaking this cycle of environmental degradation and combating one of the worst contributors to global climate change.Turning it into a sustainable, cost-efficient fuel.

Our biogas cleaning
technology
The Remooable Biogas Water Wash Technology relies
essentially on the same principals as other commercially proven systems. These
design principals involve process temperature (the colder the better) pressure
(the higher the better) and absorption (the longer time the better).
The Remooable Technology will utilize a long plastic pipe
rather than the typical tall stainless absorption tower. The long pressurized
pipe will mix the biogas and water with a system of agitators built into it.
The absorption pipe will be submerged in a stock pond in order to cool it as
the water gas mixture as it travels through it, thereby facilitating the
absorption of the CO2 into the process feed water. The upgraded methane is drawn
off and the process feed water is released in a second stock pond. The CO2 is
desorbed in that pond and the new clean process water is drawn from the bottom
of that pond (at 39 to 43 degrees Fahrenheit} and starts the process over
again
Why focus on methane specifically? Good question!
Methane is a potent greenhouse gas that is 25 times as potent as CO2. However, biogas can be purified by using water to separate methane, CO2, and other water soluble trace gas components. Our unique process uses water as a solvent. In the wash process, we are converting the trickiest, most troublesome greenhouse gas into pure, renewable energy.
As a bonus, our biogas cleaning produces an additional revenue source for the farmer.
