Many of you may know Robbie Stevens, one of the long-time Stonehill community members who has worked in the Roche Dining Commons for over 25 years. Last year his family lost everything in an apartment fire around this time last year. On my way back to campus this past Monday morning, I saw Robbie walking about 6-7 miles away from campus in about 35 degree weather. I asked if he needed a ride to Stonehill and he excitedly got in my car. He told me that his car had broken down and he was looking to purchase another one. I have started this fundraising page to help Robbie lessen the financial burden of buying a new car. With the winter months coming I hope that Robbie will have a way to get to and from work safely.
