Rosebud: the Lives of Orson Welles by Mark Jenkins fits into this model. We wish to tour this show and inspire a new generation of creative leaders and raise funds for The Paradise Theatre School. This show has had a successful run in Port Townsend, Washington and is currently running in Seattle. We wish to bring the production to Portland, Oregon and San Francisco, California. Help us broaden the reach of The Paradise Theatre School.
What We Need & What You Get
We need $7000. This funding covers down payments for theatres, publicity, outreach, technical support. All of this is necessary to get the show a base of success in order to ensure future runs and help The Paradise reach as many people as possible.
For your support you will be listed as co-producers of the show. We offer signed posters, coffee table picture books, special performances and parties that will put you backstage with the people that made this show happen. Be a part of a show on the road in America. The playwright, Mark Jenkins, has given his blessing for The Paradise to reach a wide audience.
The funding will be broken down as follows: $1,200 down payment for The Actors Conservatory in Portland, $1,500 for a Publicity agent familiar with promoting a show in Portland, $500 technical support for the run. $1800 down payment for City Lights theatre in San Francisco, $1500 for a publicity agent familiar with promoting a show in San Francisco, $500 technical support for the run of the show. The funds will go towards making Rosebud: the Lives of Orson Welles a success on the road. If we don't make our goal we will downscale in terms of the space we choose and publicity but we still plan on visiting those cities in 2013 with the show.
Every dollar contributed helps The Paradise Theatre School get closer to the goal of remodeling and reopening our home space in Chimacum, Washington. The run in Portland at 70% capacity will raise $11,000. The run in San Francisco at 70% capacity would raise $17,000. That total is $28,000 - a $4 potential for every $1 raised. That is very exciting!
