Our Story
RUN. CATCH. KILL. tells the story of a serial killer who's resurfacing after several years of hiding from the law. Years have gone by and his previous murders no longer make headlines. Finally settling in New York City, he's found a new home with a massive population for him to terrorize. Unable to contain his homicidal tendencies any longer, he's ready to make a comeback. Unfortunately for him, the combined effects of being out of practice and the inevitable results of aging, have left him, well, a bit rusty...
With RUN. CATCH. KILL. we hope to create a genre-crossing short film that mixes dark comedy, regular comedy, elements of traditional horror/terror, the sexy humor of an Axe body spray commercial with gritty, raw & real action and fight sequences. On top of all of that, we'll look to shoot this with an artistic & experimental sensibility.

About Pete Klein:
I've been working in the film & television industry for over 15 years, the last 7 of which I've dedicated toward being a professional stunt performer & stunt coordinator. With this project, I've taken on quite a bit of the responsibilities that might otherwise be divided up amongst several individuals. That translates into a ton of work for me personally, but also a very significant savings in terms of production costs that can be utilized in other areas.
We've assembled a great crew to shoot what we've done thus far, and everyone's on board to continue.

The Impact
In a somewhat unusual way, this film will have a strong female empowerment component. How so, you may ask? In a variety of ways we'll showcase the indomitable spirit of today’s women as they overcome the odds & not only survive, but emerge victorious despite the apparent disadvantages. We'll also highlight the power of persistence, as well as the pitfalls of today's rampant trend of fame-seeking, among other social issues. Additionally, we'll touch on themes such as self-defense & situational awareness - all within a humorous, multi-layered story arc.
What We Need & What You Get
As you can see from the video trailer, We've already shot quite a bit of what's "needed" for the short. I believe we've shot nearly 40% of the original script . The money raised would be used to complete the project. Having already shot a portion of this, I know the reality of the expenses. There'll be permit & location fees, production insurance, equipment & prop rentals, wardrobe expenses, and the obvious costs of hiring a professional cast & crew - as well as feeding & transporting them.
I have an abundant script to work with, so the more we raise, the more we'll shoot. There are a lot of opportunities to work-in some very cool stunts, and I'll always have my eye on using the funds for that type of content, but not at the cost of sacrificing story elements. I do plan to complete the story to whatever degree possible, so If we only raise a partial amount of the financial goal, I'll shoot with what I have available. However, as this is as much an action film as it is anything else, I believe it's a "bigger is better" situation.
Also, I fully intend to submit the finished project to appropriate short film festivals. To that end, and as a professional in the industry, it's absolutely vital that I deliver a top quality product.
All of the perks associated with the campaign are realistically attainable. I can personally attest to the awesomeness of the t-shirt design! Also, it's extremely important that the DVD of the finished product be of the highest quality possible, as well.
