This project is "In Demand." That means we met the initial low goal to cover some of the key costs of acquiring audio and video from two concerts and to share video, audio, and photos in a private forum. Thanks to everyone who has supported this project for giving Sweet Comfort Band options to do more. Now we're hoping to find more people who support Sweet Comfort Band and will help us determine which options are possible with the audio and video we collected.

Videos lead to invitations to do concerts and improve the attendance at concerts. You'll be able to share the video content we produce with possible concert hosts and use them to invite friends to a concert.

People enjoy and engage with video content and Sweet Comfort Band will communicate well through it. 

Video makes other content more effective. Social media, special reports, and ministry updates are all more effective when they use videos.

It's been a long time since Sweet Comfort Band was actively touring and Christian music doesn't have the radio support for classic artists that exists in rock, pop, and country music. So Sweet Comfort Band doesn't have the current connections with most of it's historical audience that it will need to do new recordings, concerts, etc. This campaign serves as a focal point that allows Sweet Comfort Band to identify it's key supporters...a kind of inner circle of it's audience. It is a good first step towards connecting with more of the audience and to identifying the most loyal supporters and building deeper relationships with them in the private Sweet Comfort Band forum.

FAQ

Doesn't it take more funds than the goal to record audio and video?

It does. But not all the funds are needed at once because not all the work happens at the same time. This campaign initially focused on the audio and video "capture" and the initial goal helped cover those costs. New supporters help us determine what we can do with the audio and video.

Why isn't there a live audio or video perk?

We don't have nearly the budget to offer those yet. We needed to cover the key costs of the video and audio capture first. Currently we're reviewing the footage from five cameras and the 28 tracks of audio from each night, which will help us determine what it will cost to produce content that can be shared publicly. While we're doing that, the level of new support will help us determine what type of audio and video perks are possible. In the meantime, you'll get private content in the Sweet Comfort Band forum.  

Can I support this project without having an Indiegogo account?

Yes, you can give directly using a check, credit card, PayPal, etc. and you can choose any of the perks listed here or a custom reward for your support. Call 253-874-8400 or contact Christopher Redner for details. 

What other kinds of perks/rewards are available?

Can I participate even if I don't live in the United States?

Absolutely! You can choose any of the perks that are delivered by e-mail without any extra cost. 

There are some extra shipping costs, compared to mailing the same items to an address in the United States, if you choose a perk that is rewarded by mailing you something. However, if you get multiple CDs together you'll save on the CDs and the shipping.

Can I give an album or other perks to my friends?

You betcha! Indiegogo allows you specify who you want the perk sent to and indicate that it is a gift. You can even include a note for the recipient of your gift.

How can I get more information about Sweet Comfort Band, their music, etc.?

Choose any of the perks that include an invitation to the Sweet Comfort Band private forum. Both contain lots of behind-the-scenes stories, information, and the opportunity to connect with members of the band directly.
