Wicked Burger was born in a business plan class and has been evolving with the use of mentors, workshops and commitment. Wicked Burger is a developing company that stems from the concept of gourmet fast food. Wicked Burger’s main products are house made sliders, milkshakes, tater tots, and whimsical desserts. We would like to start out as a mobile slider food truck then branch out and have a brick and mortar restaurant.
Wicked Burger will contribute to the community in a variety of ways. We will get our supplies from local farms, bakeries, and beverage companies. Wicked Burger will donate time as well as money back to the community. Every six months, Wicked Burger will donate a small percentage of its profits to various local charities. Meanwhile, our employees will volunteer at organizations such as after school programs, food banks and homeless shelters. Through purchasing from local purveyors and giving back to local charities, Wicked Burger hopes to grow with the Providence community.
We are currently looking in to working with two farms, a beverage company and two bakeries (vegan/gluten free and a traditional one). We are currently reaching out to local charities to see if there are any forms for us to fill out.
The impact that this project will have on the Rhode Island community will benefit the economic state. Wicked Burger will purchase 75 percent of its supplies from local Rhode Island based companies. We would like to thank you for reading this over and helping out any way that you can.
The funds that are raised will go towards:
- A down payment for a food truck and rent for commissary kitchen.
- Supplies for the truck (food, sundry items, first aid kit, etc.)
- Fees, permits, insurance, and inspection
- Equipment
- Funding for after school and mentor ship programs
No donation amount is too small, every little bit helps! :)
Everyone that donates will have a "short out" on the Wicked Burger Facebook and website.
