The Campaign
As we enter into our 24th year as an agency, we are looking to EDUCATE, ADVOCATE and INSPIRE our community more. Educate about the disease, as well as the valuable work that we do. Advocate for those who need it. And inspire our community as a whole to help make a difference.
HIV is still a very real public health concern, and it is programs like ours that help get people into care, and further prevent infection. The current complacency about the disease has created an increase in infections by 33% over the last 10 years, and yet almost as steep of a decrease in funding for HIV programs and services. THIS TREND HAS GOT TO STOP. Your donation of $100 can help with….
·Bus fare for 50 clients in need of transportation to make needed medical and dental care appointments
·1-month's worth of groceries for a family of four through our Grocery Center
·A start-up kit of bedding, towels, pots, pans, utensils and dishware for our individuals & families transitioning from homeless to housing
·A holiday box of food, blankets, hats and gloves for our individuals & families during the holidays
·12 rapid HIV-tests that help our community stay healthy and strong by knowing their HIV status
·Over 300 condom and lube packets for distribution through the community to ensure the accessibility of protection
