Over the years, I’ve gathered more than 50 recipes that bring people together. People from different cultures, religions, nations and neighborhoods have become friends and family at my dinner table. With these recipes, they connect on a personal level, opening their hearts and love to each other to enjoy Afro-Fusion meals together. I would love to share these recipes with you.
Hello, to every foodie out there who regularly pushes the boundaries
of their food comfort zone. My name is Yetunde Taiwo and I love life and have a
deep and passionate love affair with food, especially African food. So I'm
creating the Afropolitan Chef Cookbook to share the techniques, flavors and
spices of the world inspired by Africa. The concept is to share with you the
eating habits of the modern day Cosmopolitan African. I have been cooking since
I was 6 years old and my mother is my greatest influence in the kitchen. Afropolitan Chef
dishes are tasty, save time and are visually enticing. I am calling your
attention today because I need your support in making this delicious dream come
true.

About the Book
The Afropolitan Chef cookbook will have over 50 savory recipes in
time for Thanksgiving 2014. The recipes are a fusion of meals I have learned
over the years, influenced by West Africa, and includes something not usually
shared in African fusion meals: A Calorie Count. Yes, delicious, exotic and
still healthy! I have also done my best to include ingredients that you can get
at any local grocery store.
I have already written most of the recipes and shot the photos to go
in the cookbook. In order to have foodies flipping through the pictures,
salivating and yearning to satisfy their pallets in time for Thanksgiving; I
need to raise $7,500 before summer's end. So far, The Afropolitan Chef has
already been featured in the following media:
- CBS Miami
- Applause Magazine
- Bella Naija and New African Woman Magazine

About Me
I am a Chicago-born, Nigeria-raised serial entrepreneur and
proprietor of ICY PR. And I am a notorious food lover. With the help of my
mother and my dear friends, I have spent the last 4 years developing the
Afropolitan Chef brand. I write a food column exclusively for New African Woman
to share some recipes and thanks to M3 Studios in Miami, we shot a show demo and a
pilot, for an Afropolitan Chef cooking show. Oh! The possibilities
When the idea of this cookbook came to me, I made a promise to God
that 10% of each print book sale for the rest of my life would go to The World
Food Program and No Kids Hungry organizations. So when you purchase a book, you
also get a chance to change the world with food. It is my wish that no child or
people in need will ever be left hungry. In Africa or anywhere and Afropolitan
Chef, is part of my life-long commitment to feeding and teaching food to those
in need.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope you take the next
step and support this delicious dream.
