Aldea is a community development organization that started as a non-profit in La Union, Honduras in 2009. In West Michigan we currently have a coffee roastery in Muskegon Heights and our first cafe in Grand Haven. Our mission is to bring quality and value to all that we craft and to make every interaction positive and authentic.  

We love what is happening in Muskegon and can’t wait to be a part of it. This area holds significant history for nearly every member of our team. The very first cup of coffee that Aldea served was at the Muskegon Farmer’s Market nearly a decade ago, and our time there gave us the confidence to pursue our first permanent retail location in 2015. The Pine Street cafe is a way for us to express ourselves by having a space that is solely ours. It also gives us the opportunity to build on our current offerings of high quality coffee and tea. For the very first time, we will be offering light food and baked items from our very own ovens.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 for the build-out and execution of our new cafe on Pine Street. Contributions will go directly to purchasing equipment and making this space warm and welcoming. Our new space will be bright, full of positive energy, and plants, lots of plants.

We are determined and honored to have this opportunity in Muskegon and will continue to pursue the project.

In 2015, Aldea Coffee began its first cafe inside the The Armory in downtown Grand Haven, MI. Throughout our first years there we witnessed friendships built, while growing our personal community as well. The community we have watched you all build is why we want to replicate this in another community, while giving you a new space to enjoy in a neighboring town.

As a company striving to receive our B Corp Certification, while simultaneously working to become zero-waste, we are hoping to lead by example and bring others along on the journey to preserve the Earth. We will continue to bring well-being to you and the Earth by using mindful business practices and serving intentionally sourced food and beverages.
