OUR GROWING TEAM
You may recognize our fearless leader from Food Network’s
Cupcake Wars where she took home the
big prize twice for her famed Sticky Fingers Sweets & Eats or from the
cover of her acclaimed cookbook, Sticky
Fingers’ Sweets. Doron Petersan
has paved the way for dozens of vegan bakeries now found across the country and
is ready to take her veggie-centric passion to the next level. She knows what
she’s doing, and she does it well. And now she wants to do even more. And, she
can't do it without your support.
Amanda
Desaulniers has recently joined our team as Executive Chef. Before
donning her Fare Well chefs coat, Amanda served first as sous chef and then as co-executive
chef at Great Sage, our favorite vegan restaurant in Howard County, Md. Before
that, she refined her skills and palate on the sets of Top Chef Season 8 in Los Angeles. Her expertise, passion for
responsible eating, and intensity are warmly welcomed into our kitchen as our culinary genius.
Almost
a decade ago, Jenny Webb first
started baking in the Sticky Fingers kitchen. She brought her degree from
L’Academie de Cuisine pastry school, a mess of baking experience, and a lot of
sass. Jenny was the whirlwind next to Doron during both victorious Food
Network’s Cupcake Wars battles and
has never stopped honing her pastry-making prowess, most recently training and
working in Austin. And…she’s baaaaack! We’re giggling that our princess o’ pastry has accepted the post of Pastry Chef.
Welcome home, Jenny!
Two years ago, Jenn Lewis joined Sticky Fingers as General
Manager. Only someone with her extensive management experience, training as a
professional psychotherapist, passion for great food, dedication to small
business, and incredible ability to stay calm in the midst of frenzy could lead
the team so effectively. That’s why we’re so humbled that our people person has accepted the role of Director of Operations,
expanding her current responsibilities at Sticky Fingers to Fare Well, too.
Five years ago, Jason Toner started working behind the
front counter at Sticky Fingers. After a few years as front
staff and barista, he made his first vegan donut in August 2013. Within a
month, he transitioned into the Sticky Fingers kitchen full time, where he’s
been a mixing, baking, chopping, cooking, and recipe-developing maniac. Jason
will take his incredible talents to the Fare Well kitchen as our sweets maker (aka donut master),
and we couldn’t be more excited.
All things cake are in Kamber Sherrod’s blood. When your mom’s
a cake decorator and you grew up surrounded by batter, frosting, and piping
bags, how could you not live and breathe cakes? Kamber began working at Sticky
Fingers in August 2004 and started decorating soon after. From weird &
quirky to sweet & playful to traditional & classic, her technique,
creativity, and sugar flower art talents are unsurpassed, and it’s beyond
fantastic that she’ll be sharing her talents as our cake beautifier.
For
20 years, Miyun Park has organized
on behalf of animals, working for nonprofit advocacy charities. In early 2015,
she took a sweet turn and stepped into a new post with Sticky Fingers and Fare
Well as our marketing & outreach
director. Her decades of experience lecturing, writing, and coordinating
serve her well in her delicious role with the two shops, and she can’t wait to
tell you all about them and how you can help animals with every bite.
Owner and creative
director at The General Design Co., Soung
Wiser has led branding and communications campaigns for local shops, national
organizations, and iconic figures alike for more than 15 years. Recent branding projects include Graffiato by Mike Isabella,
America Eats Tavern by José Andrés, and Dolcezza by Robb Duncan and Violeta
Edelman. Her work’s been lauded by Communication Arts, Graphis, Print Magazine, and
AIGA, among others. She’ll make everything sparkle with eye-catching beauty as our creative
guru.
