Our Story

Capital CarShare (CCS) was developed by a small group of passionate, environmentally-conscious, upstate New Yorkers looking to bring shared mobility to the dense region of Albany. With CarShare, community members have easy access to vehicles for use by the hour or by the day. Our goal is to launch a fleet of neighborhood cars in June, but we need your help to #getthere. 

The Perks

Raising $20,000 will help us purchase a fleet of eco-friendly vehicles, fund our first advertising campaign, and hire staff members.

As a thank you we're giving away CCS swag, free trials, driving credits, and lifetime memberships!

Your contribution, no matter how great or small, will ensure that our members have access to fuel-efficient cars in their neighborhood at any time day or night. 

The Impact

Bringing CarShare to the Capital of NY will provide city residents with more efficient and accessible transportation options. 

80% of upstate NY carshare members have reserved a car for a trip to the grocery store. **

30% of upstate NY carshare members have used this service to get to a job interview. **

A fleet of 12 fuel-efficient vehicles will take approximately 87 private cars off the road and allow for less congestion in dense neighborhoods. **
