Who am I?:

Hello my name is Kohl V. Bladen, the creator and director of the DELTA web series. I guess I can start off by telling you a little story about myself. I grew up in the film industry, and have always wanted to be a director since I could remember. I attended film school at the age of fifteen with an agreement with my highschool that I keep my grades up. This made my life super busy, and had barely any free time to myself. But I loved it. I graduated from Western Colorado Arts and Grand Junction High School on the same day receiving my degree in film directing and my high school diploma. Since I was a kid, I was always told I'd make it one day, since then I have not stopped at trying to achieve my dream.

The Project:

Web series and new media projects are a new way for ambitious directors, writers, producers, and actors to get their name out there. I wrote and directed and independent film last summer titled, "The Dark Passenger", a short about the demise of a mother and her daughter, and the daughter's friend at the hands of a deranged serial killer. I also did a 48 hour film challenge in early Winter called "Megan", about a man named Brian who breaks up with his girlfriend on Valentine's day. And of course, she gets her sweet revenge. This project, I'm taking a horror film that takes place in one night, and spreading the night over a 10 episode series. This series is definitely a love child of John Carpenter and Rob Zombie, with the class of Alfred Hitchcock. With that said you will see lots of angles, limited gore, implied nudity, and a good storyline. This series I believe will be the driving force needed to get not only my dream kick started, but those who also partake in making this amazing project happen.

The Funds:

We are looking at a budget of $11,700.00 American dollars. This will go into the purchase of a Canon 60D, a shoulder rig, matte box, lenses, and a follow focus for the camera. Also it will pay for the purchases of our soft box lighting equipment, permists, our video village, cables, pay for the actors, crew, food, props, costumes, and fuel.  As well as a few rentals which include a trailer, a generator, and a realistic stuffed prop dog. The reason we are making so many purchases, is so we can use the same equipment and cut back costs for the future 9 episodes, and hopefully a second season.

Your IMPACT:

Your investments in our production will help breathe life into this web series, and help launch careers for the many crew members, and actors involved. Your help can also help you as producer, get your name out there and possibly help start your career in the industry as well.

The REEL:

I attached a director's reel for you all to take a look at. It contains two scenes from both of my projects, "Megan" and "The Dark Passenger". The Dark Passenger will be hitting horror festivals this year, so look for it there as well!

No money?:

No problem! Help us at Vaughn-Michael Productions spead the word. Tell your friends, your neighbor, your dog walker, your rich uncle, or even your godfather... but not the one with the guns!

Thanks:

Thank you all for taking the time to read this entire page of info. I just wanted to try and be as thorough as possible so you know exactly where your money and help would be going, and what it would be used for.
