قلم: پلتفرمی برای آزادانه نوشتن
قلم بستریست که به افراد فارسی‌زبان این امکان را می‌دهد که آزادانه افکار، عقاید و داستان‌های خود را با دیگران به اشتراک بگذارند در ایران که آزادی بیان اغلب محدود است، قلم فضای امن و مطمئنی را برای کاربران فراهم می‌کند تا دیدگاه‌های خود را به اشتراک بگذارند و در گفت‌وگویی معنادار با دیگران شرکت کنند.
هدف ما طراحی یک پلتفرم ساده و کاربرپسند است که نوشتن و به اشتراک‌گذاری مطالب را برای هر کسی آسان کند. چه یک نویسنده با تجربه، یک وبلاگ‌نویس یا فقط فردی با دیدگاه منحصر به فرد باشید، قلم ابزار و امکانات لازم را برای زنده کردن ایده‌های شما فراهم می‌کند.
برای ایجاد قلم، ما این کمپین جمع‌سپاری (crowdfunding) را راه اندازی کردیم تا بودجه لازم برای توسعه و راه‌اندازی این پلتفرم را جمع آوری کنیم. هزینه‌های اصلی ما مربوط به هزینه‌های توسعه و میزبانی است
با حمایت شما می‌توانیم قدرت بیانِ آزاد را برای میلیون‌ها فرد فارسی زبان در سراسر جهان به ارمغان بیاوریم. شما می‌توانید با کمک به ایجاد قلم، به ما برای ساختن آینده‌ای روشن‌تر برای ایران و همچنین سایر کشورهای فارسی‌زبانِ افغانستان و تاجیکستان کمک کنید.
چرا یک پلتفرم دیگر؟
در حال حاضر هیچ پلتفرم آزاد و امنی، برای انتشار مطالب بلند به زبان فارسی وجود نداره. بیاید کوتاه محدودیت پلتفرم‌های موجود که برای این منظور استفاده می‌شه رو بررسی کنیم:
مدیوم (Medium): پلتفرم مدیوم فقط به زبان انگلیسی در دسترسه و کلاً از نگارش راست‌چین پشتیبانی نمی‌کنه. طی ۱۰ سال گذشته هم علی‌رغم درخواست‌های فراوان تغییری در این زمینه صورت نگرفته. حتی در صورت پشتیبانی از زبان فارسی در آینده، با توجه به این که کل پلتفرم برای محتوای انگلیسی‌زبان طراحی شده، محتوای فارسی لابه‌لای انبوهی از محتوای انگلیسی در این پلتفرم نمی‌تونه تاثیرگذار واقع بشه.
توییتر: کاربران توییتر می‌تونن مطالب بلند رو به صورت رشته‌توییت منتشر کنند. رشته‌توییت‌ها در تایم‌لاین فالوئرها (و فالوئرهای ریتوییت‌کننده‌ها) موقتاً دیده می‌شن اما از اونجایی که امکان دسته‌بندی و آرشیو وجود نداره، بعد از مدتی زیر حجم انبوه اطلاعات گم می‌شن. به همین سبب هم نمی‌تونیم به سادگی کلیه‌ی مطالب موجود پیرامون یک موضوع خاص رو پیدا و مطالعه کنیم (حتی با جست‌وجو). توییتر به‌طور کلی برای محتوای فوری و در لحظه مناسبه و نه یک مطلب چند هزار کلمه‌ای با ده‌ها یا صدها لینک و عکس.
بلاگ: ده، دوازده سال پیش، بلاگ می‌تونست گزینه‌ی مناسبی باشه، اما امروزه بلاگ‌نویسی تا حد زیادی جای خودش رو به نوشتن در پلتفرم‌هایی مثل Medium داده.
کانال تلگرام: در کانال‌های تلگرام می‌شه مطالب بلند متنی نوشت. با این حال جذب مخاطب برای نویسنده‌ها (به‌خصوص نویسنده‌هایی که مخاطب چندانی در سایر شبکه‌های اجتماعی ندارند) بسیار مشکل و طاقت‌فرسا می‌تونه باشه و مخاطب هم زمانی که ده‌ها یا صدها کانال رو دنبال کنه، سر زدن به تک‌تک این کانال‌ها براش مشکل و وقت‌گیر می‌شه و احتمالاً مطالب زیادی رو از دست می‌ده. ضمن این که هر پست تلگرام حدود ۴۰۰۰ کاراکتر ظرفیت داره و نمی‌شه چندین عکس یا ویدیو داخلش گذاشت.
پلتفرم‌های داخل ایران: در ایران پلتفرم‌های پرمخاطبی ظاهراً با هدف رفع همین مشکل ایجاد شده، اما از اونجایی که پلتفرم‌های داخلی، ناچارند تابع قوانین جمهوری اسلامی (که اساساً ضد آزادی بیان هستند) فعالیت کنند، این پلتفرم‌ها هم درگیر سانسور و همچنین ناامن هستند.
ما به یک پلتفرم نگارش آزاد و مستقل به زبان فارسی نیاز داریم. پلتفرم آنلاینی که خارج از مرزهای ایران و تحت قوانین کشوری آزاد فعالیت کنه. «قلم» قراره این پلتفرم باشه. فضایی امن که بتونید آزاده مطالبی بلند بنویسید، مطالب دیگران رو مطالعه کنید و با دیگران تعامل داشته باشید.

Ghalam: Free Writing Platform [for Iran]
Ghalam is a platform that enables individuals to freely express their thoughts, opinions, and stories and have an impact on others. In Iran, where freedom of speech is heavily restricted, Ghalam provides a safe and secure environment for writing, reading, and engaging with others.
To bring this platform to life, we have initiated a crowdfunding campaign to collect the necessary funds for development and launch.

Why Another Platform?
Currently, there is no free and safe platform for publishing long content in Persian language. Let's briefly check the limitations of the existing platforms that are used for this purpose:
Medium: The Medium platform is only available in English and does not support RTL writing. In the past 10 years, despite many requests, there has been no change in this regard. Even if Persian language is supported in the future, considering that the entire platform is designed for English-language content, Persian content next to a lot of English content can’t gain momentum.
Twitter: Twitter users can publish long content in the form of tweets. Threads of tweets are temporarily visible in the timeline of followers (and followers of retweeters), but since it is not possible to categorize and archive them, after a while they are lost under the massive amount of information. For this reason, we cannot easily find and study all the available materials about a specific topic (even by using the search feature). Twitter is generally suitable for immediate and in-the-moment content, not a few thousand-word articles with dozens or hundreds of links and photos.
Blog: Ten or twelve years ago, a blog could be a good option, but nowadays blogging has largely given way to writing on platforms like Medium.
Telegram channel: You can write long text content in Telegram channels. However, attracting an audience for authors (especially authors who do not have a large audience in other social networks) can be very difficult and exhausting, and when the audience follows tens or hundreds of channels, it becomes difficult and time-consuming for them to visit each of these channels. It probably misses a lot of content. In addition, each Telegram post has a capacity of about 4000 characters and it is not possible to put several photos or videos in it.
Platforms inside Iran: In Iran, high-profile platforms were apparently created with the aim of solving this problem, but since internal platforms are forced to operate under the laws of the Islamic Republic (which are basically against freedom of speech), these platforms are involved in censorship and are also insecure.
We need a free and independent writing platform in Farsi language. An online platform that operates outside the borders of Iran and under the laws of a free country. "Ghalam" is supposed to be this platform. A safe space where you can freely write long content, read other people's content and interact with others.

Mersen is the author and narrator of the "On" podcast. His education is in the field of information technology and e-commerce and his expertise is in digital marketing. He has worked in various startups and currently lives in Estonia.
