Earlier this year, we were in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  We met up with our amazing friend, Chhun.  He is a Buddhist monk who tirelessly seeks out people to help with amazing energy and enthusiasm.  He told us that they had a little family who stayed in the temple grounds during the day and went to sleep in a local park at night.  A father and his two young daughters.

  Their story is sad, their mother left for work in Thailand and never returned, they lost their house, their father had health problems and they lost their only source of income - his scooter.  they had virtually nothing, not even clothes.

Chhun with his wonderful network and resourcefulness has helped this family wonderfully.  They have some clothes, they have some food and they may have a place to stay.  The girls are possibly going to be taken in by Cambodian Children's fund, who will provide them with education.

But there is still so much uncertainty for this family, there is no welfare system in Cambodia and without an income, this family's recent progress is threatened.

This is where YOU come in. Instead of a new pair of shoes or dinner out, please donate to keeping this little family together and making their life better.  The goal is $1500 USD.  This should enable them to buy a new scooter and their father to work whilst the girls are in school as well as cover their rent for about one year.  It's not a lot of money to change 3 lives for the better.
