This fire unit is the only one in the city and the oldest in the region. It is located in the western part of Ukraine in the city of Lanovtsy. Every day firefighters risk their lives for the sake of strangers. They bravely struggle with fire day after day, but unfortunately, a rather outdated material base of the unit puts the lives of firefighters at great risk. For example, their helmets are more than twenty years old, the belts are more than 27 years old, lack of boots and low temperatures make the firefighters' work in winter almost impossible, causing frostbite. Currently, they use leather army boots that are quickly soaked. The poor quality of the fire hoses and, in some cases, their lack complicate the process of fire-fighting. Unfortunately, the state doesn't care about updating the equipment, leaving the firefighters thereby to chance, and if it still does update, then the equipment is either outdated or already poor (damaged).

Our goal is to collect over $ 15.000 to be able to buy: new helmets — 10 pcs, shoes — 10 pairs, gloves — 10 pairs, oxygen cylinders for a first aid kit  — 1, radios — 6 pcs, headsets — 10 pcs.

Your donation will allow not only to upgrade the outdated equipment, which in some cases is more than thirty years old, but will improve the working conditions and efficiency of firefighters, as well as will allow to take care of their safety during their extreme work. Foa each fireman is an unselfish person with a desire to help. We cannot give enough thanks to them, but we can at least try to do it.
