ABOUT ME

My name is Andrea Smith, but many know me as Demi Gore, and I am a roller girl and a chocolatier. I have always had a passion for creating creatures and special make-up effects, and after attending art school for make up effects then a long hard look at the industry, I decided to utilize these skills, including but not limited to custom mold fabrication, in conjunction with another passion, CHOCOLATE! With this combination, I can be creative not only in imagery, but in flavor as well. I have been making chocolates and confections as the proprietor of Chocolate F/X since 2009, and have been the head chocolatier of major retail chocolate shop in Atlanta since 2011

Chocolate F/X is my company. I make chocolates and confections that not only taste delicious, but are designed for you or that special someone with a fun, Rock-and-Roll attitude! I am personally responsible for the conceptualization, recipe development, and mold fabrication of all Chocolate F/X collections. Through the use of innovative ingredients and inventive aesthetics, I strive to bring together the unconventional pairings of the tattoo/horror/sci-fi cultures with the world of chocolate and confections, providing clients with a fresh, new level in the chocolate experience.

My Campaign

This campaign will help me ensure that I properly launch my dream to further push my established chocolate company to its fullest potential. It will allow me to continue my quest of creating art in the form of small-batch chocolates and confections with innovative visual presentations, and to utilize only high-quality chocolate and local all-natural ingredients, to further grow small business in the community.  Once established, I hope to cultivate relationships with organizations that share my passion for social and environmental responsibility.

 To that end, contributors will help me to purchase equipment and ingredients, creative marketing, as well as a functional ecommerce website that will enable the world to experience the imagination that is Chocolate F/X.

Campaign Goal: $8,000 Contributions will help to:

• Purchase a  chocolate tempering machine
• Purchase additional  confection equipment and mold-making supplies
• Increase functionality of current website
• Pay vendor fees for trade shows and conventions
• Purchase additional packaging supplies
• Create and distribute marketing materials

Funds collected will go to purchase the above items which are listed in order of importance. If campaign goal is not reached, I will use the funds collected to purchase the most important pieces. PLUS I will still honor all perks!

As a small business that strives to purchase ingredients and packaging as local as possible-buying local keeps communities strong. With that, I am able to keep prices more affordable. By keeping prices affordable we can reach a larger customer base. I believe I have a unique take on the chocolate industry and am excited to show the world the art that is Chocolate F/X.
