UNLV REBEL HOCKEY SEEKS SPONSORSHIPS FOR 2017-2018 SEASON
The UNLV Rebel Hockey Team, the state’s only collegiate-level ice hockey program, has made it to the National Tournament! The program was founded in 2005 and has recently enjoyed its best performance with a 54-13-2 record-to-date through the last two seasons. We are currently Ranked #3 in our division with 30 wins this season which is the first time in UNLV's hockey program history. In addition, the program received acceptance into Division 1 of the ACHA for next season and has partnered with the new Vegas Golden Knights, the city’s first NHL team, to share practice facilities and work together to grow the popularity of hockey within the community.
The UNLV Rebel Hockey Team has an annual budget of roughly $280,000, which is all raised privately by donors, partners, board members and staff. Since the program is unable to provide scholarships, the student-athletes are responsible for upwards of $2,000 per year in costs individually – in addition to tuition and other expenses. Donations and sponsorships help to provide equipment, facilities, travel expenses, medical treatment and more.
To support the growth of the UNLV Rebel Hockey Team and its student-athletes, the program has introduced a variety of sponsorship levels and packages available leading into the upcoming season. These include locker sponsorships, jersey sponsorships, equipment sponsorships and tiered packages ranging from $2,500 to $100,000.
