We're NyxRising Industries, a group of nerdy YouTubers coming up on 60,000 subscribers on our channel where we produce fan content for video games, films, books, and the like. We've become absolutely obsessed with tabletop games over the past year, and after multiple requests to bring our passion to the screen, we're finally tackling it with a brand new Dungeons & Dragons show Life of the Party!

I'm Nyx, founder of our Youtube channel NyxRising, and one of the players. I'm joined by Bee, Sasha, Chase, Isa, Cat, and of course our wonderful Dungeon Master, JD. With a long history of acting, performing and improv, we love to get deep into the roleplay of tabletop games and get completely lost in the fantasy.

• This campaign means so much to us - we know what we're capable of achieving, but to do our absolute best, we'd like to purchase new equipment, build a great set, and have the opportunity to share our creativity with the world! We're still planning on filming and sharing Life of the Party with the rest of the world no matter what, but we know how much more we could achieve with your backing on this exciting project.
   
• This campaign is going to be a story to remember, set in an incredible, diverse original fantasy world with endless possibilities. Our party - terribly balanced but full of enthusiasm, and equally full of dark and shocking secrets - are all played by LGBT players and we like to think we bring our own chaotic and courageous energy to every game. This story is too rich and deep to keep all to ourselves, and so we invite you to tag along for the journey and become part of the Party community, where everyone is welcome!

Here's What We Need

• Equipment upgrades will allow us to improve our quality. We have just enough camera and audio equipment to pull this off, but we can provide a far more exciting viewing experience with better quality audio from lapel microphones and a sound mixer, interactive maps, streaming equipment, plus we're desperately in need of a few camera lenses to ensure all the footage looks top quality, more tripods, cables, and other dull production bits and bobs to get the ball rolling. We're estimating the cost of equipment to be around £600, but at £800 we'd have everything we needed for a long term endeavor. 
   
• Artist compensation - high quality art of our characters, NPCs, and the world we're playing in will add another dimension to the show with beautiful visuals to accompany what we're doing and saying. Great talent requires good compensation, and this art will become available for backers as part of some of our rewards, then later for viewers. 
   
• Terrain, miniatures, maps - custom made terrain boards and monsters will make for a very exciting show to watch and play, and the more we explore in the vast world of our game, the more we'll need!
   
• Set design to remember! With a production set designer on our team of players, we're definitely on track already, but we need materials and props to bring our videos to life. Some of your contributions will be used to make a high production value set that can last the length of the series.
   
• Rewards - a small amount of the funding will be used to create physical rewards such as art prints, stickers and pins, but we estimate less than £100 for this and will keep costs as low as possible. We're offering free shipping on all physical rewards smaller than a large package, too.

Risks & Challenges

All projects come with risks & challenges. We know this all too well, but we're confident about Life of the Party. We have most of what we need already, and we're determined to make this work no matter what. There's always a risk of equipment failure, or lost footage, but if it happens we'll work around it. There's always another way. Plus, the series is already well underway! With that in mind, I'm happy to declare this campaign as very low-risk!
