NOTE: The happy couple are pleased to be well on the way to bringing terror and scientific audacity to life - they are due in October.

IT ALL BEGINS SO INNOCENTLY!!!!!!
In the fall of last year, [redacted for SCIENCE] got married. I was honoured to be [redacted for SCIENCE]'s best man, and I have never seen two people more happy.
BUT THEN, NATURE CASTS HER EYES AWAY!!!!!!!
What most people likely didn't know is that even months before the wedding, [redacted for SCIENCE] had been trying to conceive a child. It has been a long and arduous process, because it turns out that not everyone has an easy time reproducing naturally.
SCIENCE MAY HOLD AN ANSWER!!!!!!
But you guys know them, they won't let pesky ol' natural fertility stop them, so they've turned to medical science for help. Unfortunately, this has lead to increasingly expensive and lengthy processes without success.
TO ITS MOST TERRIFYING FRONTIERS!!!!!!!!!
Now, however, they've stumbled upon another proven option that has a pretty good chance of success. As you can imagine, though, this is costly, and our two heroes are not rich people. Apparently they can just BARELY afford it, and not without making significant financial sacrifices. Being fantastic and humble people, they don't want to beg, feeling so appreciative of the generosity shown them during the wedding that it wouldn't be appropriate to ask for more so soon afterwards.

As [redacted for SCIENCE]'s best man, however, I have no such compunction nor shame when it comes to them, so I am asking you and everyone you know to please consider donating to this campaign. Our target goal is $4500, just around one third of the total cost of the procedure ($13,000), and I really hope we can meet at least that. Anything you can provide will help them be able to see a new life in to this world for them to raise.
There are no two people more deserving of this dream than them. This is one of their best shots, so I plead for your help. Please, pass this on to all your friends.

*NOTE: I'm looking in to perks. I've talked to some amazingly generous people about giving time and goods/services, but haven't followed up on details because I've been easily distracted by work and other life things.
