What is The Dub Truck?
The Dub Truck is a work in progress. After much planning and preparation, an original 1979 Chevrolet P30 step van has been purchased and will be modified into a food truck. Once finished, The Dub Truck will be operated primarily in Northwest Arkansas.
- Only ingredients from local businesses and individuals at Farmer's Markets will be included in my dishes. No big box stores playing a role here.
- My menu will change constantly. One week may be Greek breakfast and the next may be Indian dinners. I want to produce creative and outgoing dishes that keep people coming back for more.
- By backing The Dub Truck, you will play a part in making a community self-reliant by focusing on small business helping small businesses grow.
What We Need & What You Get
- I'll be completely transparent and honest with you... This conversion is going to be very time consuming and will come with a significant cost.
- Luckily, the engine has been completely rebuilt and is in very good shape. There is still some minor body work to be done ($2,000), plumbing work ($1,000), electric work ($1,500), restaurant equipment ($10,000), a vinyl wrap ($6,000), rental of a commercial kitchen for initial 3 months ($9,000), licensing and insurance ($8,000).
- Apart from my time and effort, I am continuing to work and will have my own finances invested in The Dub Truck.
- While I do need your support to make this dream a reality, I'm not looking to take your money and run. There are a number of perks available that will allow me to give in return: meals, shirts, permanent recognition in the truck, and even a personalized food truck item!
