Hey folks! We are Abalone Grey, an up and coming Americana band based out of Santa Cruz, CA. During the past 6 months, we’ve made a lot of amazing new discoveries. First, we discovered each other. Like moths to a light in the dark, we were all drawn together by a love for music and the astounding talent we all saw in each other. Though each one of us has our own distinctive skills and sound, together we have formed something much greater than the sum of the parts. A collective energy has created Abalone Grey, and our newest discovery is that the same energy has brought us to the stage in a band’s life when it needs to spread its wings and take to the road. But we need your help! Our dream is to share our music with the world, so please help us get on the road for our very first tour through the Northwestern United States!
Our humble entourage consists of Bobcat Rob Armenti (guitar, vocals), Luke Kinney (mandolin, vocals), Kat Factor (guitar, vocals, washboard), Emma Shaw (upright bass, vocals), and Noah Freedman (fiddle, vocals). As you can see, we all love to sing, but what makes us truly unique is the fact that every member brings forward new songs and ideas which leads to the creation of collectively constructed music. We are absolutely in love with the art of music making, and we hope you can hear our passion in our sound.
Below is our currently planned tour starting off in our home town of Santa Cruz at the Crepe Place on September 9th and ending at the Lost Sierra Hoedown in Johnsville, CA on September 25th.

Now what we really need from you, our friends, families, fans, and the community is the funding to make this tour possible! Going on the road is always a financial challenge, but the results are always worth it and we can overcome this obstacle with your aid. The majority of the contributions to this cause will help fuel our transportation up the coast. With more than 2,000 miles to cover, we need all the help we can get to keep our touring vehicle going strong. Beyond simply the cost of gas, there will be inevitable vehicle repairs and other related costs. We also need another kind of fuel however. Although we will cut the cost of food as best we can, cook collectively and buy smart, groceries will still need to be bought and bellies will need to be filled. For lodging, we plan to camp as much as possible (where fees must still be paid), but a shared hotel room may be unavoidable at times. Additional money will be spent on keeping our instruments, recording equipment, camera equipment, and amps in working condition. These costs are unavoidable as well and always seem to come at the worst time. If by some amazing and beautiful chance our supporting community provides us with extra finances, all the proceeds will go to funding our much needed future recording sessions. This really helps get our music out there and also gets our songs back into your hands!
