1. They are all considered to be some of the greatest teenage romantic comedies ever created
2. None of them represent the Black teenage perspective

But there was a time when we actually had a short run of great black teen coming-of-age stories like HOUSE PARTY, THE INKWELL, FRIDAY, CLASS ACT and more that were not only solid box-office hits, but became cult classics that epitomized the black teenage experience. They did this with a sense of humor and fun that was uplifting, instead of ending on a downer with someone getting shot.
The team of AFTER PROM, a black teen rom-com about childhood friends that decide to go all the way after Senior Prom, is driven with a passion to bring the good times back and show a variance of shades when it comes to being "Young and Black in America” while sharing a few laughs about growing up, loosing your innocence and the awkward teenage adolescence years. But we need your help.
In a nutshell, we’re here to raise seed money (development funds) that will be utilized in securing the capital we need to produce this $500,000 indie feature gem. Our minimum goal is $10,000 but the more we raise the quicker we can fast-track the project!

AFTER PROM is the story about childhood friends, on their way to separate college lives, that swore if they were still virgins by Senior Prom, they’d sleep together and the hilarities that follows in one night as they try to break through the “Friend Zone” without destroying their friendship.

Before AFTER PROM, Myron worked at ABC/DISNEY broadcast and publicity, then moved onto an award winning management/production company Tom Sawyer Ent. (HAPPYTHANKYOUMOREPLEASE Josh Radnor) now Haven Entertainment (HELLO, MY NAME IS DORIS Sally Fields) directly under Rachel Miller and Jesse O’Hara and currently serves as VP for Film Regions International (My Amityville Horror). He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he continues to write, direct and produce.
