My name is Roxy Faridany and I am one of the Executive Producers of 'Taarof:a verbal dance.'
Taarof came about when writer and director Alannah Olivia, and I, began discussing what story we wanted to tell. Through a mixture of our own experiences and cultures, the story of Taarof was born and we are incredibly proud of it.
This film is very important to us as we feel it represents so much of what it is to be an ethnic woman growing up in London today.
By contributing to our film you will be helping us with the final touches to ensure that our film is Festival ready and help us achieve our goal of a polished final product.
Having raised some money for the initial filming we are now raising money for the festival admission fees. (Every festival you apply to costs $50 upwards - and that doesn't even guarantee that you get picked.) Having put a lot of our own money into this project we are asking for any bit of support that you would be willing to give, to help us spread this unique story.
We have already been officially selected for some festivals, so we know that we are getting some very good feedback.
If you can't contribute then we would very much appreciate you spreading the word to anyone that you think would want to get on board with our small but epic film.
Thank you!
